Coordinating Family Outfits for Pictures

It is amazing to think that it's already that time of year where we start thinking about annual family pictures. This year has flown by! I love having our pictures taken as a family every year so that we can see how much Lily Grace (and now Liam!) has grown each year. Growing up we took family pictures around Christmas every year and I know they are some of my parents most cherished pictures. They don't have to be formal, there is no need to stress... the important thing is the PEOPLE in the picture.

That being said, we want the PEOPLE in these pictures to look nice, right?? I love it when our family coordinates with each other without being overly matchy/matchy. I have been searching all over the internet for some good coordinating family outfits and figured I'd share what I have found so far.

I only have outfits planned for our little family of four, but a lot of these outfits have different sizes available for older/younger kiddos. I haven't figured out which color scheme we are going to go with, and I have several outfit choices for each color scheme. Here is our burgundy/navy theme:

And then we have an olive green/cream/navy theme:

And then a more "Christmas-y" theme:

Do any of you also do family pictures in the fall? If so, tell me about them! Do you go formal or for a more casual look? Coordinating or not? Fall pictures or another time of year? I'd love to know!

I hope you all have a great week. See you back here on Wednesday!

  1. My favorite is the navy and burgandy, but they're all great looks! I always take casual pictures of my kids for our Christmas card. Thanks for linking up with Hello Monday! Tanya - The Other Side of the Road

  4. Coordinating family outfits for pictures is akin to orchestrating a visual symphony. Each hue, pattern, and style harmonizes to create a memorable tableau. As we capture these moments, it's fascinating to reflect on how technology, once a figment of which technology was originally predicted by science-fiction writer, now seamlessly integrates into our lives.
