Books I'm Reading

It's summertime and the living is easy! With days lounging by the pool, long car rides for beach trips, and afternoons with a glass of lemonade in hand, there's no better time than now to be picking up a new book to read. I figured a post about some of my favorite books so far this year would be a great way to start off this little blog because I know Book Club style blog posts are some of my favorites to read.

So let's get started :)

1.Church of the Small Things  by Melanie Shankle

I LOVE this author (and blogger)! She is laugh out loud funny and so down to Earth. She makes you feel like you are sitting down together having a cup of coffee, which is a fun way to feel while reading a book. This is a great book to recommend to a girlfriend, mom, sister, aunt, etc. Can't say enough good things about it :)

2. The Great Alone by Kristin Hannah

GREAT book! Kristin Hannah does a great job with characterization and makes you fall in love with her characters. This is the type of book that a wide variety of people would like: someone who loves to travel, someone outdoorsy, a parent, an adventurer... truly anyone. There were definitely some heavy parts to this book, but it is one of those books that causes you to reflect on your own life and how lucky you have it.

3. The Good Girl by Mary Kubica

Whoa. This is one of those books that has you hooked from the very first page. This is a book that you stay up late to read, and then wake up early just to keep reading. LOVED the surprise twist at the end!

Happy reading friends!!
