Good morning friends! Today I am sharing the books I read in the month of September. I had big plans to "read" (i.e. listen to the audiobook version) of several books this month while we packed and moved but that didn't quite work out like I had planned! Our library stopped giving us unlimited access to audiobooks in August and we only get 6 a month. I didn't realize we were limited again and used all my downloads on audiobooks for Lily Grace-- oops! While I don't mind listening to Olaf's Frozen Adventure while we're in the car, I'm not exactly going to be listening to that while I pack up the house 😉
Monthly Goals October
Good morning friends! It's time for another round of goals for the month, and this month I am trying to focus on getting back into a fitness routine. For the past month or so my usual routine has gotten out of whack and I just workout whenever I find time. The problem with that is that by not making it a priority, I find that I am working out significantly less often. So it's time to change that! Here are my goals for the month:
Video Home Tour-- Pre-Renovations
Good morning everyone and HAPPY FRIDAY!! Today I want to welcome you into our home with a little video home tour. Devin and I are THRILLED to finally be taking the plunge into renovating our home and we wanted to do a little before/after of our renovation process. I won't lie, the thought of filming a video initially terrified me-- I got major stage fright! But after awhile I just figured "really, who cares?" It's an easier way to show you the house and for you to get to see "the real me" 😊.

What's Up Wednesday
It doesn't feel like September is almost over to me. Due to Liam's birthday and our move, this month flew by so quickly. I feel like it has to be early September still, right? The calendar says otherwise 😊 Let's have a look at all the fun we had in the past month, shall we?
What We're Eating This Week- Oh my goodness, I have been on a roll with cooking at home and trying new recipes! Some of these recipes I found on other blogs/social media and some I have created myself. Stay tuned for some recipes like these Southwest Quinoa Bowls:
What I've Been Wearing Lately
Hi there friends! I hope you had a nice weekend. We were able to get all moved out of our house and moved into our temporary home and are feeling settled. We had plans to have a small get together Sunday morning for Liam's birthday but on Friday night/Saturday morning Lily Grace was hit with a tummy bug. 😷 We didn't want to risk sharing our germs with all of Liam's baby friends and their siblings/parents so we decided to push it back a few weeks until everyone is feeling better.
This past month or so I have actually been getting out of the house and getting out of yoga pants/lounge clothes more and more. It helps that I have been subbing at my former school and we have had various meetings with our contractor/cabinet lady/appliance people etc. This means I have had to start putting together a few outfits again. I forgot how much I used to love getting dressed in "real clothes" in the morning! While I definitely love some good old jeans and a t-shirt, there is something about dressing up a little more that completely shifts my mindset.
Anywho, here are some of the outfits I have put together lately. I know sometimes looking at other people's outfits sparks my creativity and I think "oh, I have something similar, I'm going to try that today!" Hopefully I am able to make your mornings a little easier this week as you get dressed! 😊
What We've Been Up To
Good morning friends! Today we officially move out of our house for the next 4 months. It is bittersweet. We love our little home and will miss it, but are excited for this next adventure. When we move back in, our home may be unrecognizable... but in a good way! I will be very happy to not recognize my tiny old kitchen 😂
So since life has been crazy busy lately, I figured I'd do a roundup of what all we've been up to! Here are some pictures of our sweet kiddos to fill you in on what life has looked like for us lately:
Roasted Broccoli & Cauliflower with Lemon and Pine Nuts
Good morning friends! I have been on a big veggie kick lately, trying to get in as many various vitamins and nutrients that I can. One of our favorite veggies around here is broccoli. Both of my kiddos eat broccoli without complaint every time, so it's a staple around here! I am always looking for some new ways to mix it up and keep it interesting and this is a new way I tried over the weekend. I hope you enjoy!
Liam is ONE!
Our sweet boy is one year old today! One year ago today my water broke and we headed to the hospital, calm as can be, to welcome this sweet boy into the world. Liam came into the world cool as a cucumber and has continued to be that same way every day since then. He has the most easygoing, constantly happy personality and we are so lucky to get to be his family!

Good morning friends! I hope you all had a great weekend spending time with your loved ones. Our weekend was a good mix of being busy/productive and also relaxing-- my favorite kind of weekend!

Let's Look: Our School Pics
Oh man I am SO excited to see some of yall's school pics today!! When I saw the theme for the day I chuckled to myself because I KNOW some good school pics from the 90's are about to be the best way to start the day!! I swung by my parents house over the weekend and snapped a few pics from elementary, middle and high school to share with you. I did not grab one from each year because I thought that would be a few too many to share, but grabbed a variety so you got the gist of how I looked as I grew-- awkward years included!
Let's get started:
Farmer Devin's Greenhouse
Kale and Arugula Salad with Pine Nuts
Good morning friends! Here is another super healthy salad we whipped up one day this week. I used to be that girl who only liked salads if they were doused in Ranch dressing, but I have learned to love a simple lemon-olive oil dressing. This is so much healthier for you, so I'm hoping this new taste preference sticks!
Monthly Goals-- September
Good morning friends and happy September!!! Does it feel like fall where you live? I must've jinxed us.. it felt fall-ish for a week or two here but then we jumped back up to 90+ degrees every day. This weekend looks like low to mid 80's again though-- and believe it or not, I'll consider that "fall-ish weather"!
Today I have my goals for the month of September to share. Thank you so much for reading/commenting on these posts because you help to keep me accountable! If somebody out there knows I've set a goal for myself, it makes me feel like I need to actually keep up with it. Here are my goals for the month:
