Walmart Home Decor Finds

Guys, if you had told me years ago that Walmart would be a place I would turn to for cute home decor items... I probably wouldn't have believed you. Practical home items? Absolutely. Affordable home items? Of course. But cute? I didn't think that was Walmart's thing. But apparently I was wrong! Lately on Pinterest I have been searching out all the California Casual/Boho home decor pictures. Every time I open my Pinterest browser I am inundated with pictures like this:
and this:
I mean don't those just look dreamy?
Needless to say, the following Walmart items were right up my alley! It's very possible this is just a phase I'm going through because I'm seeing all these pictures on Pinterest, but either way, I'm loving it!
From Walmart:
Last week when we were at the beach I posted on Instastories (@dontmindourmess) that I got knocked over by a wave and lost my sunglasses in the ocean-- oops!! Also, apparently it was hilarious and all my family as cracking up at me, so I'm happy I was able to provide some entertainment 😂. Anyway, we still had a few days left at the beach and then a 4 hour drive home, so I needed some sunglasses! I had a second "good" pair back at home, but I needed something cheap to tide me over until I got home... enter Walmart.

While the sunglasses selection wasn't necessarily my cup of tea (you're welcome to those of you who got to see my purple sparkly bedazzled sunglasses for the remainder of the beach trip 😂), I was perusing the aisles looking for a couple other things we need and stumbled across this magazine at the end of an aisle.
It says Spring 2020 on it, but I was desperately trying to avoid stores in the spring due to COVID so I must've missed it back then. Anyway, it has some of the cutest stuff! It definitely makes me want to redecorate our house with a bohemian/coastal/nature vibe. 😊

Here are some of my favorites:
Egg Chair-- This chair just screams to me "snuggle up with a blanket and a good book!" I would not turn that down 😉 This one is currently sold out, but I'm hoping they restock it because it is too cute!
Tribal Rug-- I love the pattern on this rug and thought it would add some texture to the room without being too "loud".
Nautical Accent Chair-- I loved the woven look on this chair but I'm wondering how comfortable it might be? This is one of those items I'd like to actually test out in a store by sitting on it.
Herringbone Baskets (Set of 2)-- I am always looking for a good basket and loved the natural weave. I thought the herringbone pattern was unique!
Ceramic Planter with Stand-- I am most definitely going to be buying this one. You all know how much I love plants/gardening. I love having plants inside our house too, especially in the winter, to give us something green/peaceful/calming to look at when outside looks all dreary and gray.
Ceramic Dot Planter-- I loved this planter too for some indoor plants.
Beaded Chandelier-- I have been looking at a similar one from World Market for awhile now but am not quite ready to bite the bullet. This one is a little cheaper and comes in a gray color too. Unfortunately the cream is sold out 😕
Rattan Pendant Light-- I also loved the look of this one from Drew Barrymore's collection-- and was impressed by the price!

So now I'm mentally redecorating our home using all these items. The best part about mentally redecorating? You don't have to pay for it 😉 Assuming money wasn't an issue and you could decorate your home however you wanted, what would you say your ideal home decor style is? Farmhouse? Modern? Traditional? Tell me in the comments!

Today I'm linking up with Andrea and Erika for Friday Favorites. Have a great weekend!!

  2. I love this coastal/boho look. Walmart has definitely improved the design of all of their products from clothes to home decor. Sometimes shopping online is a great way to find the best items. Thanks for linking up with Hello Monday! Tanya - The Other Side of the Road

  3. I'm itching to redo some things in our home, but we plan to move in a few years, and I don't want to invest any more money or change until I know what the next house will be. I'm so happy to see more affordable decor options popping up. Love this style. XO
