Review of Texturizing Sprays
Hello friends! I hope you had a nice weekend. Today I am kicking off the week with a review that has been a long time in the making. I have slowly but surely been making my way through some of the top rated texturizing sprays and am here to share my reviews.
My hair has a pretty fine texture to it and I often feel like it could benefit from a little extra "oomph", or volume. Due to being such a fine texture, it also gets oily faster. Even on day 1 clean hair I used to spray some dry shampoo in my hair to prevent it from getting oily faster. I told my hairdresser this and she said "oooh you need to try a texturizing spray. It soaks up the oil but also gives the hair some volume too." That sounded like it was exactly what I needed. Another benefit of texturizing spray is that it doubles as a dry shampoo without changing the color of your hair. One of my good friends is a brunette and often complains about dry shampoo leaving that white residue in her hair. This would be perfect if you have darker hair and don't want the white residue from a dry shampoo.
So my hairdresser convinced me to start with the Oribe and I LOVED it! I used it exclusively for a year or two. Fast forward a bit and Shay had recommended the DryBar spray. I grabbed the sample size, tested it out, and liked that one too. Now I am on the hunt to see if there are other great ones out there worth buying. Here are the 4 I have tried so far and my reviews:

Beauty Products Gift Guide
Hey there! I hope you all had a good weekend. My sister was asking for a list of my favorite beauty items because she wasn't sure what she wanted for Christmas. I put together a little list of my favorites, and then decided to share them with you too! Beauty Products Update!
Good morning friends! Thank you for being patient with me and my lack of a post on Monday. This is my last week of school and I had a bit more to prepare than I anticipated. We normally wouldn't be ending the year until the first week of June, but due to COVID we are ending a little early. But now I have my stuff together, and I am back!

Hair Donation
Good morning friends! If you follow me on Instagram (@lcdarrell) then you may have noticed that last Thursday I went into my hair salon, had them cut 10" off my hair, and I donated it. This is the 3rd time I've done this so I figured I know enough about it to be able to answer any questions you might have if you are considering making a donation. Updated Favorite Ipsy Finds
Good morning and happy Friday! Today I wanted to do an updated post on my favorite Ipsy products that have been coming in my monthly bag. Not every product is a hit, and usually I like them but don't love them. So every few months I want to update and tell you the ones that have been my all time favorites. Here they are:
Purlisse BB Cream-- This BB Cream is hands down still my favorite after trying about a half dozen others. I love the way it offers just a hint of coverage on the days I am out running errands and don't want to put a full face of makeup on. It is SPF 30 which is another plus because then I don't have to put my Clinique SPF on underneath it.

Good morning, happy Friday, and happy Memorial Day Weekend!!!! I don't know about you, but we LOVE Memorial Day Weekend around here. The weather is almost always beautiful, we get to spend some time outside together with family and friends, and Devin gets an extra day off work to spend with us. It doesn't get much better than that!

Friday Favorites-- Skin Care Edition
Good Morning! Today I am linking up with Andrea for Friday Favorites. Today's is all about my skincare regimen and my favorite skincare products.
Okay first let me start by saying the most important thing I do to take care of my skin is make an annual dermatologist visit to have my skin checked. Unfortunately in high school/college/shortly after college I spent way too much time in tanning beds. I've written about it before here, but after my several years using tanning beds, I eventually had a mole come back as "severely abnormal" in 2014. Fast forward to fall of 2018 and I had another "severely abnormal" mole. As my dermatologist put it, "this isn't cancer, but it is cancer's next door neighbor." Yikes. I'm honestly hoping that none of my readers out there were as foolish as I was, but something tells me I'm not the only one in this boat.

My Weekly Beauty Routine
Happy Monday friends! Today I wanted to talk to you a little bit about my weekly beauty routine and more importantly, get ideas from you! I have noticed that if I set aside a little chunk of time one day a week for self care, I can knock most of this stuff out of the way all at the same time, and then I am more likely to keep up with it. Current Obsession-- Caudalie
Today I am writing about one of my current obsessions: Caudalie.
In case you haven't heard of it, Caudalie is a skincare line from France that uses natural active ingredients from grape vines to create something called Resveratrol which helps with anti-aging in skin. The owner, Mathilde Thomas, has written a book about her company and how she founded it called The French Beauty Solution. I read the book a year or two ago and was fascinated by what she wrote, but didn't want to spend a lot of money on a product I wasn't sure about.
