Friday Favorites-- Nordstrom Finds Lately

Good Morning and happy Friday!! Today I am linking up with Erika for Friday Favorites to share some of my favorite recent finds at Nordstrom.
This baby bump is growing bigger by the day and I am trying SO hard to avoid maternity clothes for as long as I can. I have been on the hunt for some "regular" clothes that will still accommodate a growing belly without having that "maternity" look to it. Do any of you hate maternity clothes as much as I do? I am all about spending a good amount of money on clothes, but only when I can wear them year after year. I HATED that so many of the cute maternity clothes were so expensive. I didn't want to drop hundreds of dollars on clothes I may never wear again. Yes, this is my second pregnancy, but LG was born in May and this baby is due in September, which means I don't have any summer maternity clothes-- sigh.

So I have been on the lookout for clothes that can work with a larger tummy, and unfortunately my favorite go-to store, J. Crew Factory, doesn't have the best selection for that. I hopped on over to Nordstrom to see what they had and was blown away by all the great choices! They had so many cute items that could work with a larger tummy, but also for next year when that tummy is (hopefully) smaller again.

Here is what I found:

Bumpdate-- Week 22

Good Morning! Time for another update on how everything is going with this pregnancy! I am 22 weeks pregnant now and am still loving every single second of this pregnancy. The only thing that has me a little nervous is just how fast the baby bumped out this time. I am only a little over half way but already feel like the bump is HUGE! I still have a long way to go...
See what I mean??

Tips for Road Trips With a Toddler

Good Morning friends! We have several trips on the horizon and are so happy that Lily Grace will be coming with us for all of them. Two of them are short enough distances that we can drive, and one of them we will need to fly to. I have already started prepping for the long car rides we are about to have with Lil and figured I'd share some of the tips I have learned from traveling with her over the past 2 years.

Lily Grace's Ice Cream Sundae Birthday Party

Good Morning! This past weekend we celebrated our sweet girl's second birthday. I know every mom on the face of this planet says it, but time is a thief. Where did our little baby go??

What I've Been Priming

Good Morning and happy Monday! This past weekend we celebrated our sweet girl's second birthday and I cannot wait to share pictures with you!! But today I am posting my monthly "What I've Been Priming" in order to link up for Prime Purchases tomorrow.

Urban Decay All Nighter Makeup Setting Spray-- Do you hate when you put your makeup on in the morning but feel like it has all come off by lunchtime? This makeup spray helps your makeup to last all day long and I swear by it! I have been using this stuff for years and absolutely love it. No need to reapply later in the day because it lasts a full 12 hours. If you tend to use more expensive makeup I feel like this ends up saving you money because you don't need to reapply again at night if you're going out to dinner/drinks with friends.
Ice Cream Bowls with Spoon-- Lily Grace's birthday party theme was "ice cream sundae" this year and we gave these out to her friends as party favors. They are the sweetest little ice cream bowls with a matching spoon. They are the perfect size for a small child because it isn't too much. We put each one in a cellophane bag and handed them out as her friends left!
Cellophane Bags-- These were the cellophane bags we put her bowls into. They were a tight squeeze, but all fit. I loved the polka dot twisty ties because they matched the serving bowls we used. We also have plenty leftover to use for other parties and they were super cheap!

Rainbow Polka Dot Serving Bowls and Spoons-- I got these rainbow polka dot bowls and spoons to serve her ice cream sundaes in and also to put the toppings in. I figured I'd set out a half dozen with toppings in them and the kiddos (or parents) could scoop the toppings onto their ice cream.
Self Adhesive Paper Ice Cream Cones-- I got these to put at the bottom of several of her balloons to make them look like ice cream cones. These balloons below were my inspiration:

Burt's Bees Mama Bee Belly Butter-- I have been putting this stuff on multiple times a day and have been flying through it... but so far no stretch marks! I am not exaggerating I have put this on 3-4 times a day some days. First thing in the morning? Putting it on. Middle of the afternoon? It's going on. Before bed? Definitely putting it on. My belly is itchy? I'm putting extra on. Let's hope this helps to keep those stretch marks away!
Diapers-- Every other month we get our diapers shipped from Amazon via their subscription services. It makes life so much easier to just have them dropped off on our doorstep!

Thanks for reading along toady, can't wait to see what you all have been priming!

Book Club-- April

Good Morning and happy first day of May! I understand that summer doesn't officially begin until June 21st, but in my mind we are more or less there. In our neck of the woods the temperatures will regularly be 80ish from here on out, so while technically it is still spring, it definitely feels like summer! Bring on the iced lemonade, the front porch sitting, and book after book after book!

Friday Favorites Maternity Activewear Edition

Good Morning ladies and happy Friday! This week was my spring break so not surprisingly it FLEW by. We had a great time going on a quick trip to Charleston (you can read about it here and here) and then spent the rest of our break here at home.

Today I am linking up with Erika to share something that has been getting a lot of use lately-- maternity activewear. This baby bump is growing bigger and bigger and while I am loving it, I am trying to keep it at JUST the bump that's getting bigger and not everywhere else too :)

Weekend Highlights Part 1

Happy Easter Monday everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful Easter and were able to spend some good quality time with your families. We had a wonderful weekend and I am so happy to share it with you!

Our weekend actually began on Wednesday with the start of my spring break (finally!!). Our school does a half day on the Wednesday before Easter and then we have off through the following week. So this year we are off the afternoon of 4/17 and don't return to school until 4/29. We will come back and have just a little over a month before summer break begins!

Bumpdate-- Week 18

Good Morning! I haven't done a bump update in awhile and wanted to share how things are going. I have hit the sweet spot of pregnancy where I no longer feel nauseous, I have my energy back, I have a noticeable bump, but am not uncomfortable yet. This is as good as it gets!! I know my days in this stage are numbered so I am trying to soak it in as much as I can.
These pictures were from yesterday morning at 18 weeks...

Tuesday Talk-- Skin Care

Good Morning Ladies! Today I am linking up with Erika for Tuesday Talk and the topic of the day is skincare.
This has become my recent obsession. As I am getting older, I keep adding to my morning and evening skincare regimen and I cannot get enough of what other people are doing too. I recently did a post here about what products I use and while I still use the same products, I have changed up the routine a little bit.

Friday Favorites-- Easter Outfits Edition

Good Morning! Today I am linking up with Erika for Friday Favorites and we are talking coordinating Easter outfits for the family!

Earlier this week I was on the hunt for Easter outfits for our family, and while I know they look super cheesy, I wanted the three of us to have coordinating Easter outfits. Living in the South, Lilly Pulitzer is EVERYWHERE on Easter, so typically I wear a Lilly dress and Devin will find a button down shirt to match me. This year however I wanted us to try to include Lily Grace in the mix. If any of you like coordinating outfits for holidays then keep reading below! I found a few cute options from various stores and have linked them for you.

Household Tips

Good Morning! Today I am linking up with the Bolin Bunch for 10 on the 10th and the theme of the day is "10 Household Tips". I cannot wait to read all of the other household tips because I feel like this is an area I could always improve on. I only had 8 that I truly live by and didn't want to think up two extras just in order to have 10... so instead of 10 on the 10th it's more like 8 on the 10th. :)
1. Invite Someone Over, You'll Be Surprised How Fast You Can Clean-- This quote above is me to a tee! I do a pretty decent job of keeping things picked up around here, but I swear to you the minute we invite someone over for dinner/ a playdate all of these things I don't otherwise notice start glaring me in the face! I can get more done in an hour or so when people are coming over than I could in an entire week when I'm not rushing. Devin once stumbled across this video on Youtube and I die laughing because it is a slightly exaggerated version of me, only slightly.

2. Put On a Good Podcast/Audiobook/Music, You Won't Even Realize How Long You've Been Cleaning-- I love to put on a good podcast or audiobook while I'm cleaning because I can get totally lost in what's happening and before I know it, I've cleaned the entire house. I love a good gossipy podcast like Almost Famous from Ben and Ashley (Former Bachelor stars) or a thriller audiobook because I can get caught up so easily.

3. Set a Timer-- On the days I really don't feel like doing anything, I will set a timer for 5-10 minutes and try to get as much done as I can in that time period. You'll be surprised how much you can get done in a short amount of time when you know the end is in sight.
Lily Grace loves to bring her toy vacuum out to "help clean".
4. Split it Up-- Devin is a huge help around the house (thank God!) so we usually make a master list on the weekends and then get to work picking and choosing something off of it. I can't say Lily Grace is much help at this yet :).

5. Stay Organized-- I feel like if I stay organized, then things don't all pile up at once and I only need to do a little bit each day. I love my planner that I use every day for writing down one or two things on my to do list. I try to tackle them if I can, knowing that I never have a huge amount of stuff to do since I take care of it throughout the year little by little.

6. Keep a List-- I love, love, LOVE a to do list. I keep a constant running list on my phone of things that need to be done around the house. Then I always know where it is and if I have a 10-15 minute chunk of time before I need to be somewhere, I'll pick one small thing off the list. On the weekends we try to pick 1-2 bigger things from our list to accomplish. We are constantly checking one thing at a time off this list and it helps to keep us from ever feeling overwhelmed about the amount to be done since we are constantly working towards it (I hope that makes sense).

7. If In Doubt, Throw It Out-- I am very much the opposite of a pack rat. While we live in a decent sized house, there isn't a lot of room for storage in our attic and we don't have a garage. This means that we don't have anywhere to hide our stuff when we aren't currently using it. I am a very firm believer in if we aren't using something anymore, we need to get rid of it. This may not necessarily mean throwing it away. Depending on the items I will either try to sell them (Facebook Marketplace has been great for this!), donate them, and then if donating won't work we throw it away. In fact since we are in the process of selling out house we have had to move a lot of things into storage to "declutter" and have realized that we haven't missed most of the stuff we got rid of. Maybe we won't even bring some of it with us to our new house, we will just donate it?

8. Know When to Say "This is Good Enough"-- No matter what, you will NEVER have everything done. At some point you need to just know when to call it a day and accept that your house is lived in, so it is okay for your house to look lived in.

I can not wait to read the rest of your tips! Thanks so much to Jen for coming up with a great idea for a link up!!

Pregnancy Fitness Program

A lot of my friends have been asking lately about the exercises I've been doing while pregnant. It is really important to me to stay healthy and stay in decent shape while pregnant because I still want to be able to move around and play with Lily Grace as long as I can.
After my half marathon this past fall, not current!

What I'm Priming

I hope you all had as wonderful of a weekend as we did. It was in the 60's and 70's here all weekend and we were on cloud nine! We spent a lot of time at the park and going for walks, soaking up all the sunshine and fresh air. The highlight of the weekend was Devin coming back from Indonesia and getting to spend some quality time with our favorite guy.

Today's post is all about what I've been Priming lately. These posts are always so much fun, why do we all love to see what other people are buying?! There is something addicting about it isn't there?

Friday Favorites-- A Random Assortment

Good morning! The weather here today is supposed to be 73 and sunny... does it get any better than that?? If you are looking for us we will be outside soaking in the sunshine and beautiful temperatures!

Today I am linking up with Andrea for Friday Favorites and it is a whole random assortment of things for you today.
My first favorite is actually one of Lily Grace's favorite things, but has become one of mine too because of something I picked up on one day while reading to her.

Friday Favorites-- Skin Care Edition

Good Morning! Today I am linking up with Andrea for Friday Favorites. Today's is all about my skincare regimen and my favorite skincare products.

Okay first let me start by saying the most important thing I do to take care of my skin is make an annual dermatologist visit to have my skin checked. Unfortunately in high school/college/shortly after college I spent way too much time in tanning beds. I've written about it before here, but after my several years using tanning beds, I eventually had a mole come back as "severely abnormal" in 2014. Fast forward to fall of 2018 and I had another "severely abnormal" mole. As my dermatologist put it, "this isn't cancer, but it is cancer's next door neighbor." Yikes. I'm honestly hoping that none of my readers out there were as foolish as I was, but something tells me I'm not the only one in this boat.

What I've Been Wearing Lately

Happy first day of spring!! Spring is my favorite season. I love when the weather starts to warm up, the flowers and trees begin blooming and it feels like the world starts to "wake up" a little. We try to spend as much time outside as possible and I can't get enough of it!

Anyway, today I figured I'd share what I've been wearing lately because it seems like you all are as obsessed with checking out other people's outfits as I am :)

I wore this fun jumpsuit for a date night. Being tall I can NEVER find a jumpsuit that fits properly. I have a long torso and am never comfortable in one, but this one was perfect. The only caveat is it is definitely not work appropriate because of the low plunge in the front. But perfect for a date night!

Pregnancy Week 14

Today I am doing a quick pregnancy update. When I was pregnant with Lily Grace I kept a pregnancy journal where I wrote down how I was feeling/what we were doing to prepare but figured it would be much more fun to do an online journal this time around! Maybe another pregnant mama out there will want to read along, or some mama's who want to reminisce about being pregnant 😉.

Friday Favorites-- Book Edition

Good Morning! Today I am linking up with Andrea for Friday Favorites and since many of my friends out there are getting ready for Spring Break, I figured it would be a good idea to post some of the books I've been reading over the past year. If you have a flight in your future, or some down time on the beach, maybe you'll pick up one of these books before you go!

I try to read about 3-4 books every month and review them in my monthly "Book Club" posts. If you're interested in any of the following books, click the link for each month and you can read my thoughts on them:

The Story of My Blog Part 1

Today's post is all about how and why I started blogging. This little hobby of mine has turned into something I love much more than I expected, and now I'm kicking myself for not starting it sooner. Have any of you out there thought about starting your own blog but are hesitant? JUST DO IT! You won't regret it, I promise.

Today I am linking up with The Bolin Bunch for 10 on the 10th.

What I'm Priming

Hi there! Before we get started today I wanted to remind you that I am doing a giveaway of a $25 Amazon gift card. All you need to do is click HERE and follow me on BlogLovin and Instagram to enter. The winner will be announced Friday. Good luck!!
Amazon.com gift card design

Today I am sharing a recent glimpse at what I've been Priming AND a few things Devin has been Priming. Do any of you have a separate Prime from your spouse? I'm not talking a whole second account with a whole second fee, that would be crazy, but your own login/the ability to hide from your spouse what you bought (this is a life saver friends, truly!). Devin initially set it up for us a few Christmases ago so I didn't accidentally stumble across any presents that were supposed to be surprises. Now, as the majority Prime purchaser in the house, I am quite happy to say he can't see my many purchases. 😉 For the sake of today's post though, I asked him to let me peruse through his purchases and share. Ladies, I'm not going to lie, I laughed out loud at the ridiculous things he bought. I'm a little too embarrassed to even share all of them. Also, he bought like 5 things over the past 6 months. Uh huh, me too... 😳

First, what I've been Priming this month:

What's Up Wednesday

Happy What's Up Wednesday everyone! I cannot believe it is already the end of another month. Is it me or did this month fly by?? I'm okay with it though because it means we are one month closer to warmer weather and longer hours of daylight. Bring it on!

Monthly Goals-- March

Before we start today I wanted to let you know I created a new Instagram account specifically to tie in with the blog. I felt a little uncomfortable having all of our personal information/pictures out there on the internet for the whole world to see through my personal account, but also still wanted to be able to share some of that stuff with close family and friends. So the new public account will be AllAboutThatMommyLifeBlog. If you want to follow along, please do! And leave me your info at the bottom, I'd love to follow you too. Today I will try to do A Day in the Life Every Hour post on my stories if you want to follow along.
Anyone else ready for spring to be here already?? Bring on the warm weather!

And then there were 4!

Remember when I was telling you we were moving, and had a LOT of things going on all at the same time?? Well, not only are we in the midst of selling our house and buying a new one.... we're also HAVING ANOTHER BABY!!!

Friday Favorites-- At Home Manicure Edition

Happy Friday friends! Today I am linking up with Andrea for Friday Favorites and today's post is all about one of my favorite things to do... at home manicures.
