Happy Friday! I wanted to let ya'll know that my favorite Frye boots I wear all the time are on SUPER sale for $199! I wear these multiple times a week and have had them for years. I cannot recommend them enough-- they would make a perfect gift for someone else (or yourself!). Here's a look at what I've been wearing lately.

What I've Been Wearing to Work

Hey There! Before we start today I want to tell you about an app I recently shared with my girlfriends and thought I'd share with you too. Ya'll I have not paid for a Starbucks drink in over a year because of this app (granted I only try to go to Starbucks once a month-ish, but still). If you shop at Trader Joe's, Target, and Wal-Mart like I do, then you have to download the Drop app. You link your cards to it and you get points just for shopping at the stores you normally shop at. Once you reach a certain # of points, you get a free gift card to Starbucks downloaded straight to your phone. It is seriously one of my favorite things ever. If you use the code gec3k when you download it, you get a free $5 towards Starbucks immediately! Without spending anything! It's worth downloading just for the free drink, right? Just a tip though, it takes a few minutes for the app to verify your info and then get your Starbucks card, so if it doesnt happen immediately don't give up and delete the app. It'll eventually load.

It's sale day! I don't know about you but I just love the bright colors and effortlessly preppy style of Lilly Pulitzer. Her clothes immediately boost my mood. I am hoping to see some of the items from my previous list on sale today. I was checking out a few more items too and have my eye on these:

Fall Outfits

Hi There! This past weekend we visited my parents in Blowing Rock, NC and got a little taste of some crisp fall weather. It had me all excited for the temperatures to cool down and to start wearing some fall outfits. I put together a list of some pieces I love and plan on buying this upcoming fall. J. Crew Factory is one of my all time favorite stores and is where I usually get all of my fall/winter pieces. Good Morning! Today is August 15th which means that the Lilly Pulitzer After Party Sale (APS) will be ANY DAY NOW! This is like Christmas to me and this is usually the time of year that I buy most of my Lilly clothes. I don't know about you but I just love the bright colors and effortlessly preppy style of Lilly Pulitzer. Her clothes immediately boost my mood.

Life Lately With Some End of Summer Outfits

Good Morning! Can you believe it is already August? My teacher brain is having a hard time wrapping around the fact that summer is ALMOST OVER. I'm excited but at the same time a little sad. It's bittersweet for sure. I'm not sure when you all go back to school, but our first teacher work day is in less than two weeks. I plan on spending the next two weeks soaking up as much family time and relaxation as I can. We have our annual family reunion at the beach starting on Saturday and I am so excited to see some aunts, uncles, and cousins I haven't seen in awhile. 

Here's what has been going on around here lately...

Dev went to Australia for a work trip for a week, so Lily Grace and I were able to get some extra bonding time in with family. We got to spend an afternoon with LG's aunt and cousin. She spent several mornings with her grandma (who she calls "Nana") while I tried to get a head start on some stuff for the upcoming school year. 

 We got a little more outside playing time in.

Current Obsession: Jack Rogers Knockoffs

Ladies. It dawned on me this week that I somehow have yet to post about one of my all time favorite finds... my knockoff Jack Rogers Sandals. 

Look, I love the look of the Jack Rogers Sandal to finish off a summer outfit. They always help to give it that final touch of class. It adds a hint of that preppy look to any outfit. I love that they seem to go with everything. I love that tiny hint of a heel in the back. I DONT love how uncomfortable they are. Anyone else own a pair of real Jacks? I made the mistake of wearing them to a tailgate and then a football game in college. Lots of walking, lots of standing, lots of wear during that time period and the next day my feet, legs and back were KILLING me. On top of all that, as a college student working part time, these shoes were at the top of my price range. I was paying a lot of money to be in pain. Those were the last pair of (real) Jacks I ever bought.
