Current Obsession: Jack Rogers Knockoffs

Ladies. It dawned on me this week that I somehow have yet to post about one of my all time favorite finds... my knockoff Jack Rogers Sandals

Look, I love the look of the Jack Rogers Sandal to finish off a summer outfit. They always help to give it that final touch of class. I love that they seem to go with everything. I love that tiny hint of a heel in the back. I DONT love how uncomfortable they are. Anyone else own a pair of real Jacks? I made the mistake of wearing them to a tailgate and then a football game in college. Lots of walking, lots of standing, lots of wear during that time period and the next day my feet, legs and back were KILLING me. On top of all that, as a college student working part time, these shoes were at the top of my price range. I was paying a lot of money to be in pain. Those were the last pair of (real) Jacks I ever bought.

Fast forward a few years and I'm at a party with one of my adorable girlfriends Erica. Erica was wearing the cutest Jack Rogers wedge sandals. I told Erica how cute I thought her shoes were, but that I wish Jack's weren't so uncomfortable. Then Erica tells me her adorable Jack's aren't actually Jack's at all... they're some non-famous knockoff brand and she scored them for like $30 instead of the $100+ they were at Nordstrom. I about died. That night when I got home I immediately brought up Amazon and started looking for a pair of my own and rather than get some wedges (I'm already 5'8", wedges make me a little too tall) I went with these guys:

I mean it isn't EXACTLY the same, but that is pretty dang close, right? Right now on Amazon there are 13 different colors you can choose from. I currently have them in gold and the cork-gold color above and am thinking about grabbing another pair in silver. The best part about them?? They are a MILLION times more comfortable than the real thing. They have almost a squishy feeling to them like you're wearing a Dr. Scholl's pad or something. I mean ladies, read the reviews on these things. I am not the only one who thinks this!

The only negative thought I have about them is that when I bought these last year, nobody had heard of them and they were less than $20. Now it seems like they've gotten a little more "famous" and they've upped their price. That being said, they are still a heck of a lot cheaper than the real thing AND more comfortable, so they're totally worth it. Maybe just buy them now before the price goes up again??

They also have them for kids!! The real kids Jack Rogers (above) are $69. I'm sorry, but I am not paying $69 for something Lil will grow out of in a matter of months. The Amazon ones are perfectly priced at $20. These will make perfect church/special occasion shoes for Lily Grace one day and I won't have to feel guilty about the price.

So that's my short and sweet post for today. Any other Jack Rogers lovers out there who aren't trying to spend a fortune to be in pain?? Have a great weekend everyone :)

  2. Oh my gosh, yes! I have one pair of JR and I despise them they hurt my feet so badly. I also suffer from plantar fasciitis so naturally everything hurts my feet. BUT those things are horrid. So let me share with you that where I live we have a shoe store called Shoe Show and they have knock offs for $15 and they look JUST LIKE JR's. The kids are like $10. I haven't tried them on because they have that basic sole too but they are adorable and the price is the best thing ever. I enjoyed your post today! xo Amanda @ cardiocabandakeyboard.com
