Friday Favorites-- Kids Swimwear Edition

Good morning and greetings from Jacksonville, FL! We are in town this weekend for a wedding and are looking forward to some quality family time, including today's trip to the beach! If you don't already follow along with us on Instagram, come join us! My name is allaboutthatmommylife18

Today I am linking up with Erika for Friday Favorites and the topic is all about kids swimwear... let's get to it!
Our local pool just opened this past weekend and we have already been a handful of times this week. It was a whopping 96 degrees here on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday-- yuck-- so we've been trying to stay cool by hanging out in the pool.

What's Up Wednesday

Good morning and happy What's Up Wednesday! This week is my last full week of school and while I am super excited to have the summer off to spend with family, it is a little bittersweet because I genuinely love teaching so much. I will miss those kiddos over the next two months! We are going to be so busy traveling this summer though that I'm not sure I'll have too much time to think about it :)

Friday Favorites-- A Random Assortment

Good morning, happy Friday, and happy Memorial Day Weekend!!!! I don't know about you, but we LOVE Memorial Day Weekend around here. The weather is almost always beautiful, we get to spend some time outside together with family and friends, and Devin gets an extra day off work to spend with us. It doesn't get much better than that!

Today I am linking up with Erika for Friday Favorites and am sharing a few of my  recent obsessions.

The Best Homemade Guacamole

Good morning friends! I thought I'd share with you one of our favorite things to make around here, and a staple recipe in most houses I'm sure... homemade guacamole. We are bbbiiiiiigggg Mexican food fans around here and have learned a thing or two about how to make the perfect guacamole. Today I'll share my recipe and secret tip for how to get the most flavor possible out of your guac.

Friday Favorites-- Nordstrom Finds Lately

Good Morning and happy Friday!! Today I am linking up with Erika for Friday Favorites to share some of my favorite recent finds at Nordstrom.
This baby bump is growing bigger by the day and I am trying SO hard to avoid maternity clothes for as long as I can. I have been on the hunt for some "regular" clothes that will still accommodate a growing belly without having that "maternity" look to it. Do any of you hate maternity clothes as much as I do? I am all about spending a good amount of money on clothes, but only when I can wear them year after year. I HATED that so many of the cute maternity clothes were so expensive. I didn't want to drop hundreds of dollars on clothes I may never wear again. Yes, this is my second pregnancy, but LG was born in May and this baby is due in September, which means I don't have any summer maternity clothes-- sigh.

So I have been on the lookout for clothes that can work with a larger tummy, and unfortunately my favorite go-to store, J. Crew Factory, doesn't have the best selection for that. I hopped on over to Nordstrom to see what they had and was blown away by all the great choices! They had so many cute items that could work with a larger tummy, but also for next year when that tummy is (hopefully) smaller again.

Here is what I found:

Bumpdate-- Week 22

Good Morning! Time for another update on how everything is going with this pregnancy! I am 22 weeks pregnant now and am still loving every single second of this pregnancy. The only thing that has me a little nervous is just how fast the baby bumped out this time. I am only a little over half way but already feel like the bump is HUGE! I still have a long way to go...
See what I mean??

Tips for Road Trips With a Toddler

Good Morning friends! We have several trips on the horizon and are so happy that Lily Grace will be coming with us for all of them. Two of them are short enough distances that we can drive, and one of them we will need to fly to. I have already started prepping for the long car rides we are about to have with Lil and figured I'd share some of the tips I have learned from traveling with her over the past 2 years.

What I've Been Priming

Good Morning and happy Monday! This past weekend we celebrated our sweet girl's second birthday and I cannot wait to share pictures with you!! But today I am posting my monthly "What I've Been Priming" in order to link up for Prime Purchases tomorrow.

Urban Decay All Nighter Makeup Setting Spray-- Do you hate when you put your makeup on in the morning but feel like it has all come off by lunchtime? This makeup spray helps your makeup to last all day long and I swear by it! I have been using this stuff for years and absolutely love it. No need to reapply later in the day because it lasts a full 12 hours. If you tend to use more expensive makeup I feel like this ends up saving you money because you don't need to reapply again at night if you're going out to dinner/drinks with friends.
Ice Cream Bowls with Spoon-- Lily Grace's birthday party theme was "ice cream sundae" this year and we gave these out to her friends as party favors. They are the sweetest little ice cream bowls with a matching spoon. They are the perfect size for a small child because it isn't too much. We put each one in a cellophane bag and handed them out as her friends left!
Cellophane Bags-- These were the cellophane bags we put her bowls into. They were a tight squeeze, but all fit. I loved the polka dot twisty ties because they matched the serving bowls we used. We also have plenty leftover to use for other parties and they were super cheap!

Rainbow Polka Dot Serving Bowls and Spoons-- I got these rainbow polka dot bowls and spoons to serve her ice cream sundaes in and also to put the toppings in. I figured I'd set out a half dozen with toppings in them and the kiddos (or parents) could scoop the toppings onto their ice cream.
Self Adhesive Paper Ice Cream Cones-- I got these to put at the bottom of several of her balloons to make them look like ice cream cones. These balloons below were my inspiration:

Burt's Bees Mama Bee Belly Butter-- I have been putting this stuff on multiple times a day and have been flying through it... but so far no stretch marks! I am not exaggerating I have put this on 3-4 times a day some days. First thing in the morning? Putting it on. Middle of the afternoon? It's going on. Before bed? Definitely putting it on. My belly is itchy? I'm putting extra on. Let's hope this helps to keep those stretch marks away!
Diapers-- Every other month we get our diapers shipped from Amazon via their subscription services. It makes life so much easier to just have them dropped off on our doorstep!

Thanks for reading along toady, can't wait to see what you all have been priming!

Book Club-- April

Good Morning and happy first day of May! I understand that summer doesn't officially begin until June 21st, but in my mind we are more or less there. In our neck of the woods the temperatures will regularly be 80ish from here on out, so while technically it is still spring, it definitely feels like summer! Bring on the iced lemonade, the front porch sitting, and book after book after book!
