Good Morning friends and Happy Monday!
I know I'm in the minority here, but I love Mondays. I love that feeling of starting a new, fresh week.
It's a great time to start new with healthier eating, getting more exercise, being more organized, or whatever your goal may be.
This week is going to be a VERY busy week for us, so I decided to sit down on Sunday afternoon and try to write everything down in my planner. The busier I get, I notice it helps me tremendously to write everything down and then see it written out in front of me.
This was a glimpse at the scheduled parts of my week before I plugged in the "other stuff", i.e. trips to the gym, grocery store, working on nursery, etc. By seeing which days are heavier for scheduled stuff, it is easier for me to figure out when to fill in the other parts.
I feel like I am a lot more likely to actually get everything done when I am realistic about planning the week. We are hosting a friend's going away party on Friday night, so I definitely won't be adding a trip to the gym on Friday morning.
I also feel like I am more motivated to check my planner and use it when it is bright, cheerful, and fun to look at. I know I have written about my love for my planner before here:
Once I plug everything into my planner, I love to add a little extra pizazz to it by decorating it with stickers. I also love to use a different colored pen for each day to keep my planner looking bright and cheerful. Here are my favorite supplies to use for my planner:
Favorite Planner (2019-2020 18 months)-- I have used both the Lilly Pulitzer and Erin Condren planners in the past, but the layout of this particular planner works much better for me.
Favorite Pens (side note-- these make a GREAT teacher gift! I do not know a single teacher who doesn't love good pens!)
Favorite Stickers (Seasonal)
Favorite Stickers (Super Mom version)
They also have a Student Version
All you other organization addicts out there-- what planners are you using? Have you written a post about your planner? If so, I'd love to read it! Leave me a comment below!
I love the Day Designer weekly planner. I have to write things down on paper or I don't remember them!
ReplyDeleteOh I'll look that one up!
DeleteI LOVED my Happy Planner, and the seasonal stickers! But last year I waited too long and was so bummed when they were sold out everywhere! So right now I'm using one from Blue Sky, and it's fine, but I'll definitely be going back to HP. I haven't done a planner post in awhile, but these two do a planner link-up every month! http://simplyalexandramyfavoritethings.blogspot.com/2019/06/keep-it-together-june-2019.html
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh THANK YOU! A planner link up is right up my alley!
DeleteAw, thanks to Dani for sharing the link up, and thank YOU for coming by and linking up. We'd love to have you in the future too. I use a Happy Planner and I really love it. I think I'll stick with it, because it's not too costly and it works well for me. I might go back to the classic size next year though. And I love using stickers and colored pens!! I'm loving my erasable pens at the moment though - so handy! haha

I've heard such great things about the eraseable pens but haven't used them yet. I'll have to grab some!
DeleteI am a planner FREAK! I love getting a new planner every year. I am going to have to check these planners out for my next purchase!
ReplyDeleteHahaha same!! Why are they so fun?!?!
DeleteThanks so much for linking up with us! I love it when you find a planner that works for you! I agree that having one keeps me more organized, and when it is pretty it is more fun to open up and look at! XO - Alexandra
