What I'm Packing for Our Trip to Ireland :)

Well hello there! Devin left for Ireland on Monday which means the kids and I will be joining him in just a few more days. When I was thinking about what I should write for this Friday's post, I kept thinking "what's going on with us this week?" and the answer was pretty obvious-- our whole life is pretty much just gearing up for this trip right now. While I was getting ready to start packing my clothes I thought "I could make a post out of that!" and voila-- here we are :) So come along with me as I try on all my outfits and make sure they still fit/look okay/will work with the 10 day forecast for our big trip to the Emerald Isle 😊💚.

First and foremost, it looks like I am packing rain boots and rain jackets for everyone-- hah! According to Devin it seems to rain every day, but briefly. He said it also seems to be a light rain vs a downpour. If you've been to Ireland, would you agree with that? A light rain is obviously more ideal for walking around exploring so let's hope he's right!

For my rain jacket I'm bringing a light North Face one since it doesn't look like it'll be too cold. I will also have layers underneath to keep me warm.

Black Leggings/White Tunic Sweater

Jeans/Striped Shirt (old, but similar here)/Green Jacket/Hunter Boots

Jeans/Checked Shirt/Patagonia Vest/Hunter Boots

Black Jeans/Purple Twist Top (old, but similar here)

Black Leggings/Brown Turtleneck

Black Leggings/White Tunic (old, similar here)/Blue Vest (on clearance now-- super cheap!)

I may still grab 1 or 2 more things if I have time. I have a bit of an overpacking problem, although don't we all? You don't want to be underprepared!

Be sure to come back here on Monday for our Not Just a Mom link up. This time the theme is "What's for lunch?". I took pictures of my lunches and my kids lunches for a whole week and will share what we have been eating. I hope you join us!

Today I am linking up with Andrea and Erika for Friday Favorites. Have a great weekend!

  1. We were in Ireland in October and we only had rain one day/night but it was a downpour! We were touring Galway and it was a walking tour. We had one day that was cloudy but we had some gorgeous weather, too. Definitely take layers because it might be chilly in the morning and warm in the afternoon . . .and also from one location to another, the temp might change. Are your Hunters comfortable for lots of walking? If not, you might get some cushy insoles. I can't wait to read all about your trip.
