Not Just a Mom: Favorite Books

Good Morning friends! I am very sad to say that today is my last time being a host for "Not Just a Mom Life". Life has been a little too crazy lately with going back to work full time and grad school on top of being a mama. The blog keeps getting put on the back burner and I don't want to sign up to be a host when I'm "phoning it in" for my own posts. Please keep up with Adrienne, Dara, Jen, Joanne and Sarah though! Who knows, maybe the following year I will be able to join them again-- here's hoping!

The theme for today's post is "Favorite Books or Series." I don't really read series all that often, I usually go for books that are on their own. I used to do posts each month of the books I read, but for the past few months the only book I've been reading is this:

Riveting stuff, huh? Actually, to me, it kinda is!

At the end of each year, I post my favorite books from the year. Here are those lists if you'd like to look at them:

2019

2020

2021

2022

My last grad school class for this semester is on Tuesday, so hopefully I will be back to my regular blogging schedule for at least the next 3 weeks. I'm not sure what next year is going to look like for my blog. I may only be able to show up. once a month, or once every other month. Or, maybe next semester's classes will be a lighter load of work and I'll be able to blog more. I don't know!

Thank you for reading along!

  1. I remember reading lots of books like that! My master's degree is in Early Childhood with a concentration in Special Ed. Some of those semesters felt like such hard work (and I didn't have any kids!). Best of luck to you as you tackle your classes.

  8. There were so many years I barely had time to read...when the kids were little, and my grad school years...so this is relatable. Hang in there.

  9. We have read many of the same books. Have you read Auschwitz Lullaby? It's historical fiction based on a true story.
