My Weekly Beauty Routine

Happy Monday friends! Today I wanted to talk to you a little bit about my weekly beauty routine and more importantly, get ideas from you! I have noticed that if I set aside a little chunk of time one day a week for self care, I can knock most of this stuff out of the way all at the same time, and then I am more likely to keep up with it. But I'm wondering when you all find the time to do this stuff. Do you knock it all out at the same time like I do? Or do you do a little bit at a time throughout the week? Here are the things I usually include in my routine:
Crest 3D White Glamorous White Whitestrips - 28 strips (Packaging may vary)

1. Teeth whitening strips. I used to have one of those special teeth whitening trays that was molded to my teeth along with the special gel but I have sensitive teeth and it irritated them, so I switched back to Crest Whitestrips. I have been using these white strips off and on for years and I swear by them! You put one on your teeth, let it sit for 30 minutes without eating/drinking anything, and then brush your teeth afterwards. Simple and easy! Also, I only ever put them on the top row of teeth rather than both top and bottom. Most people don't see my bottom row anyway and this makes the pack last longer.

2. Egg White Face Mask- I have written about this mask before here, and this is something I try to do at least once a week, but twice if time allows. It is the simplest/cheapest thing in the world, but I have noticed a significant difference in how it makes my skin look. All I do is crack an egg, separate the egg white from the yolk, put the white into a little Tupperware, and then whisk it for a few seconds with a fork. I wipe it all over my face and allow it 10 or so minutes to dry (put the rest of the egg white back in the fridge for later in the week).

3. Paint my nails. While I am waiting on the egg white mask to dry on my face, I try to take off my nail polish and at least get my base coat on. I love both the Essie and OPI base coats equally and feel they both do a great job. The Essie one is a great price on Amazon, it's usually almost double that price at my local drug store! I then usually do 2 coats of one of my favorite colors (I'll post several of my favorites later this week!) and then ALWAYS finish with Essie gel setter as a top coat. This stuff dries significantly faster than regular top coat, it keeps your nails shinier longer, and it doesn't smudge like my regular top coats do. This is definitely worth buying if you paint your nails a lot!

4. Tanning Wipes. I love these things, especially this time of year when we are all cooped up inside. While I am still waiting for the whitening strips to finish up, I wipe these tanning wipes on my body. In the winter I use these half size wipes because nobody is seeing my legs/stomach/etc. I just use it on the areas people are likely to see. In the summer I buy the full size ones and switch back and forth between this brand and the Dr. Dennis Gross pads. After wiping these on, I give it 2-3 minutes for them to dry before putting my clothes back on. I have never had an issue with the tanning solution getting on my clothes/bed sheets.

That's it for my routine. Sometimes if my nails are chipped I will paint another time during the week, and I also try to get at least one more egg white face mask in. What are your weekly beauty routines? Anything that you all do that I don't? I LOVE new tips like this, so please comment below!

  3. I have never thought of just using the white strips on my top teeth. Genius! I do some of these things, but don't have a set day to get them all done. Thanks for linking up with Hello Monday! Tanya - The Other Side of the Road
