Good morning friends!! Today is our last FULL day of school and my last day of actually teaching. Tomorrow we have a half day but thank God our principal fills that day up with some important and fun end of the year activities so the teachers don't have to worry about planning anything on this crazy day!
In the meantime though, it is time for a monthly goals update. Let's take a look at how I did on my monthly goals last month:
1. Get our garden up and running-- We actually did this one but only because we decided to scale back the gardening this year. With me being pregnant (and super pregnant at that) I wasn't sure how much time I would be able to dedicate to spending out in the heat this summer pulling weeds, pruning, etc. We decided to just focus on our tomatoes, blueberries, lemon tree, and some herbs at home and then once or twice a week I will head to school to maintain the school garden (as the teacher in charge of the school garden club, it's kind of my baby 😀). Lily Grace and I like to go for walks through the neighborhood my school is in anyway because it is a bunch of big, beautiful, older homes with huge trees and a bunch of shade. So our plan is to head over there early in the mornings, do a little gardening and then go for a walk. Sounds simple enough, right?
2. Meet Fitbit goal of 12k steps at least 5x per week-- ummm, heck no! Not even close. I'm blaming the busy chaos that May brings for this one.
↑↑↑ Amen to that. There aren't any presents and there isn't a full week+ off at the end for people to rest and recover with their families!
I don't even think I met my Fitbit goal 5x a week for any of the weeks in May. But oh well, life goes on.
3. Put x amount of money into savings account-- We did this one! Honestly not sure how because I went a little crazy shopping online this past month, but somehow we did alright! For those of you wondering, Devin and I always automatically transfer a certain amount into our savings, but at the beginning of each month we like to look ahead to what we think we will need to spend and try to save even more on top of that.
4. Read 4 books-- I did this one too! I think the fact that I read 4 really good books helped. I honestly didn't want to put any of them down. I will post my book club post this Friday if you'd like to read my thoughts!
And now, here's a look at June:
Let's hope I can accomplish these! Especially that first one :)
Have a great week everyone!
Great job on your goals. I have been trying to get out for a walk/hike at least 5 days a week too and it helps me feel so much better.
ReplyDeleteAgreed! It helps to feel physically better but also to clear my head!
