A Day in the Life of Us

Good morning friends! It has been 6 months since our last "Day in the Life" post and these are some of my absolute favorites to look back on. Look at how tiny my sweet girl was almost a year ago at this time:

I love reading back and seeing how we spent our days in the past and know one day I will look back on this post just as fondly.

The day I documented was Tuesday, June 4th, 2019. Let's get started!
I woke up this morning at 4:45 am, which is a little earlier than usual, especially during pregnancy, but I guess my body was ready to be up because I beat my  typical 5 am alarm.
I immediately went to the kitchen, grabbed my reusable k-cup and coffee filter and made my coffee. I mix my own bags and use mostly decaf with a hint of caffeine-- this is strictly during pregnancy though because I am normally ALL ABOUT some caffeine!
I came back to bed and read the newspaper on my phone in bed. I get the USA Today delivered to my phone each morning and LOVE it.
Then I pulled out my Bible, Upper Room, and Prayer Journal. I wrote a post about my quiet time here if you'd like to read it.
After a few minutes with those, I pulled out my planner and looked at the day ahead. I love, love, LOVE using a paper planner and colored pens
Once all that was squared away, I read on my Kindle until Lily Grace woke up (around 6:30 this morning).
Once we were all up, Devin played with LG while I went out and watered the plants. I love seeing the beautiful flowers in our garden.
Then it was time to make breakfast! Today we had yogurt with fresh strawberries and fresh pineapple. You know how much fresh pineapple we're eating around here nowadays since I bought the pineapple corer! Best $5.99 I've spent in a LONG time.
Then we were off to run errands before the gym. We stopped at the UPS store and stopped by another mama's house who makes these cute water bottles.
I grabbed one for Lil for summer camp and then another one for a friend of hers as a gift.

Then we were off to the gym! After dropping Lil off at the childcare area, I quickly went and knocked out my BBG workout (modified of course!)...
and then headed outside to the track because it was BEAUTIFUL!
I mean look at this weather:
I checked my apps for updates on the baby and saw this:
Baby was 25 weeks old at this time :)

After the gym, we needed to pick up some groceries and then headed home for lunch. Devin wasn't super busy at work today so he came home and met us. I love it when that happens!
We were supposed to eat a salad for lunch but didn't feel like it (anyone else ever buy a bag a salad mix and it goes to waste?). So I ended up making all of us a green smoothie in order to get our greens in instead.
We also had black bean and corn quesadillas and I used these Trader Joe's habanero lime tortillas for mine and Devin's-- we LOVE these! Lil had a whole wheat tortilla instead of habanero lime :)
Then Lil went down for her nap and I threw in a load of laundry before I spent some time blogging.

The rest of our day unfortunately was such a blur I didn't get to take many pictures... oops! I made dinner while Lily Grace napped and then Devin came home and we got a bunch of stuff done around the yard/house while Lil played.

Thanks so much for reading along with us!! I hope you all have a great day.

  3. We have been eating like 3 or 4 pineapples a week since we bought our corer (I know that seems excessive but three teenage boys can really EAT!). I love how easy the corer makes it to prepare pineapple and they have been so sweet and juicy too.
