Lily Grace 2.5 Year Update

Good morning! I wanted to share an update with you about our sweet girl because she is in such a fun stage right now and I don't want to forget any of it! I know one day I'll look back at this and be so happy I wrote it all down.

While we occasionally have our "terrible twos" meltdowns, I honestly have to say that 95% of the time LG is very sweet, easygoing and agreeable. She is very eager to please adults and thrives off of positive reinforcement.
Every single day when Devin comes home from work, she unprompted asks "Daddy, how was work?". She is always very concerned about others and wants to know that they are feeling okay. One of her teachers at school was out for a few days and immediately after seeing her again, LG asked "are you feeling better?" She asked another teacher who hurt her back if her back was feeling better. All of this completely unprompted, she honestly cares about the people in her life which makes my heart melt.

Speaking of caring about the people in her life, this girl LOVES her baby brother. We were so incredibly lucky how easily she took to having a new baby around. She loves to be a big helper and get him things she thinks he needs. She has been known to bring him his pacifier, or the carrier, or tell me he needs milk or a diaper change. Once in a blue moon she gets upset when he is crying, but I could honestly count the number of times on one hand.
Her vocabulary since starting school has exploded. I love to hear what new phrases she uses that she didn't learn at home. Right now they've been discussing the changing weather at school and LG loves to tell us how to dress appropriately. "Daddy, you need a sweater. Mommy, you need a jacket. Liam needs socks." She also loves to describe the weather "Wooohooo it's CHILLY! But it's sunny!". My sister and brother in law would be thrilled to know we may have another meteorologist in the family 😉.

This girl had a BLAST with Halloween this year. This was the first year that she really understood, and she absolutely loved it. She loved Halloween decorations, Halloween books, Halloween music, making our Halloween cards, costumes and trick-or-treating, you name it. Which makes me THAT much more excited for Christmas this year!
For Halloween LG was a mermaid and Liam was a baby shark.

This sweet girl has a joy for life that is contagious. It is truly impossible to be in a bad mood while around her. I love how much she is talking and that now we get to see the world through her eyes. She has such a kind, sweet heart and has us laughing out loud every single day.

I am so excited to see the wonderful girl she grows up to be!
