Life Lately

Hello friends and happy Friday! I hope you had a lovely week. Like most of you, I have been glued to the devastating news of what happened in Israel over the weekend. Our world is so heavy and dark at times. It breaks my heart for what those poor families suffered. It is unimaginable. Like many of you, I have been praying all week for the innocent people who have suffered.

It has been awhile since I have done a "Life Lately"  post and updated you about what we've been up to. We have been busy these past few months!! Let's have a look:
We are in full Halloween mode over here and that includes baking some Halloween cookies! Several weeks ago I ordered this Halloween sugar cookie baking kit from Walmart with some Halloween cookie cutters and we baked our little hearts out.

I got my port out!!!!!!!!!!! I had another clear scan and was approved to get my port out. It feels SO GOOD to have that checked off my list. It really feels like the cancer chapter of my life is over, even though I am still not fully recovered yet.

Devin was in Bogota, Colombia for a week which meant the kiddos and I got to spend a lot of good quality time together. We had picnic dinners at the playground and spent a lot of time playing together in the backyard.
On Thursday of that week, my parents took Liam to the mountains for some one-on-one time, meaning LG and I got a lot of special time too! She and I went on a date, and I let her pick the restaurant. Her choice? The Cheesecake Factory! Please note her stuffed animal cat, Pangur Ban, who comes with us everywhere we go.
Meanwhile Liam was at a 1950's diner that served food in these cute little car baskets. He was in heaven!
Lily Grace is a huge animal lover and gets so excited to play with my parents' puppies. Here she is "training" them. I think in the next few years, we may need to get this girl a pet of her own!
That's just a little bit of what we've been up to! I hope you all have a nice weekend!!
Today I am linking up with Andrea and Erika for Friday Favorites.

  2. That's wonderful that you got your port out! I loved the pic of LG with her little cat. My Grace had almost the exact same stuffed animal, and she slept with it every night. So sweet
