Fall Family Photos

 Good morning and happy Friday! 

A few weeks ago we had our family pictures taken in Blowing Rock and we are so happy with the results! My coworker's daughter decided to start her own photography company and when I saw she was taking pictures in Blowing Rock this fall, it was a no-brainer. We would love to help my coworker's daughter with her new business and get pictures in one of our favorite places!

Now, before I show you these I want to paint a little picture for you...

Usually, my kiddos are both pretty cooperative and easy. I won't sit here and pretend they aren't high energy and impulsive-- they most definitely are-- but for the most part, they are pretty easy kids. They are super sweet, get along very well and are pretty good listeners... and then we pulled into the parking lot for family pictures and they turned into WILD ANIMALS. Maybe it was the excitement of being all dressed up? Maybe it was the excitement of being in a "new" place? Or that it was LG's kindergarten teachers' daughter taking our pics? But the kids were OFF. Like, way off. 

Devin and I got in the car after pictures, looked at each other and both said "if she even gets one good picture it'll be a miracle."

So when we got our pictures back and saw she not only had one good picture, but several, we were so happy!!!!

Remember how I said the kids were off? Zoom in on their faces here below. It sums up our picture experience pretty darn well haha! They were just DONE.

Even though this clearly isn't the "best" one, it might be my favorite because it makes me laugh at what quirky goofballs we are.

Luckily, there were a lot more photogenic ones. 

I am so grateful to have these pictures of our family. Life has thrown us some curveballs this year, but I think you can still see us radiate genuine joy despite it all.
