What's Up Wednesday

Good Morning and happy Wednesday! We just got back from our trip to Bali and to say we are jet lagged is an understatement.

Currently me at the moment 😂 (I laugh, but I'm also serious!)

It was an incredible trip and I can't wait to recap it for you here on the blog over the next week or so. But in the meantime, let's get on to What's Up Wednesday!

What We're Eating This Week: As I write this it is 28 degrees outside... yikes! So we will be eating a lot of warm foods around here this week: soup, pasta, anything in the crock pot. One of our current favorites is grilled cheese sandwiches with this soup from Trader Joe's.
Trader Joe's Trader Joes Organic Tomato and Roasted Red
Have any of you had it? This soup is hands down the best soup when you are in a rush/too tired to make something from scratch. You just heat it up on the stove while you make your grilled cheese sandwiches. Easy peasey and delicious! 👍👍
What I'm Reminiscing About: Our trip to Bali. I cannot wait to share our recap with you! In the meantime, here are a few pictures from our trip:
What I'm Loving: Being back home with my baby girl! We were gone for almost 2 weeks and it was the longest I have ever been away from her. I have a whole new appreciation for Dev and other parents who have to be away from their children due to traveling for their jobs. We were on a fun vacation and it was tough to be away from her, I can't imagine if the trip had been for work instead of play.
What I'm Excited About: Lily Grace will be the flower girl in our close friends' wedding this weekend and I cannot wait. We are excited to celebrate our friends' marriage and are thrilled that our little girl gets to be a part of it.
What I'm Watching/Reading: Watching: All the Hallmark Christmas movies.
Schedule - Countdown to Christmas 2018 - Hallmark Channel
Reading: I am about to post my Book Club post for the month of November where I will share the books I read, but ya'll... I picked up this magazine in the airport and LOVED it.

Have any of you heard of the Blue Zones? These are places around the world where many of the citizens regularly live to be over 100 years old and are HEALTHY. I was curious to read what they were doing differently and while none of it was really Earth shattering (i.e. eat more vegetables, get daily exercise) there were some things that made me want to rethink how I am living. I feel like I keep reading about the negative side effects of alcohol and caffeine lately, yet people who live in the Blue Zones drink 1-2 cups of coffee and red wine daily. So much for that! I had heard of Blue Zones before. but this was a much more in depth look and I loved it.
What I'm Listening To: Michael Buble Holiday on Pandora and Kenny G Holiday on Pandora have been on ALL. DAY. LONG.
Holiday Collection
Kenny G Holiday is perfect background music to get you in the Holiday spirit. We had a dinner party this week and had it on in the background and it was enough for some "white noise" while also being festive. I love it!
What I'm Wearing: I've basically been living in this dress since I bought it:
And this outfit too:
What I'm Doing This Weekend: This weekend we are headed to Charleston, SC for our friends' wedding. We can't wait for two of our favorite people to tie the knot and have our little girl (and Dev!) be a part of the ceremony.
What I'm Looking Forward to Next Month: Christmas in Blowing Rock, NC. Surrounded by family. Possibly being snowed in. Enough. Said.

Happy Wednesday friends! Thanks for stopping by.

  2. Welcome back! I have always wanted to visit Bali so looking forward to your recap. Beautiful pictures too. Looks like a really amazing place! Have fun at the wedding this weekend and hopefully you won't get snowed in on Christmas when visiting with your family. I know it's been cold as of late and it's not even winter yet but I am trying to be optimistic! Happy Wednesday!
