Bumpdate Week 27

Hiking in Colorado at 26 weeks
Good morning friends, it's time for another pregnancy update-- or bump date! Tomorrow begins the 3rd trimester and I cannot believe we are already here.

This pregnancy has flown by. Here I am at 27 weeks:
Top/Shorts (old, but similar here)
Maxi dress (old, but similar here)
I had been nervous that the bump was going to continue to balloon out at such a rapid pace but it appears to have slowed down. Weight gain is still on track and normal, just the bump hasn't changed a whole lot.
 My favorite dress
I am still able to fit into a lot of my "normal" clothes. By normal I mean the non-maternity clothes that were loose to begin with. I have had to add a bra back extender to my normal bra since my rib cage has expanded a little to make room for baby, and that has made them significantly more comfortable.

Here are some updates to the following questions:
How are you feeling? This pregnancy has been completely different from Lily Grace's pregnancy. LG's was overall a very easy pregnancy: no morning sickness, I felt very active up until the end and had no complications. I didn't realize how lucky I had it last time! I'm having some minor complications this time around. Nothing too bad yet, and I'll spare you the details since they're TMI, but basically I need to put my feet up and rest a lot more often than I did with LG.
Craving anything? Mexican food, Mexican food, and more Mexican food. 😀 But that isn't a whole lot different from my normal life, so does that really count?!
Do you think it's a boy or a girl? I still have no clue, but I'm leaning towards girl. Either way we will be happy, truly. I told everyone that last time and secretly wanted a girl, but this time around we honestly would be happy with either gender.
Weight gained? 15 pounds and counting! This is the stretch where I will start to gain roughly a pound a week, meaning if I stay on track I will end up at 28ish pounds gained total. We'll see! Last pregnancy I gained 32 pounds.
Are you still exercising? I am doing the best I can. I still try to get my walks in every day and I do at least 2/3 of my modified BBG workouts a week. Sometimes I have to take breaks, and that's okay. I've started incorporating a little more prenatal yoga into the routine. I swear I notice a big difference in how I sleep on the days I exercise vs. don't exercise. That right there is reason enough to find the time for it!
Movement? Oh my goodness this baby is doing some ninja moves in there! I feel it mostly when I am sitting or laying down, and usually first thing in the morning and at night. Is there anything better than those sweet little kicks??
Favorite maternity clothes? Loose dresses and loose tops! Still living in this Lush dress. I have it in two colors and wear it at least once a week.
Insomnia? Rarely, thank God, but still happens once in awhile. On the days I don't exercise, I definitely notice an increase in insomnia.
Weird dreams? Not at the moment! Just sleeping like a baby while I can. I know those days are numbered 😉
Anything else? We are a lot more laid back/chill this time around about getting everything ready and prepped. I'm pretty sure we had LG's nursery 100% set and ready to go at this point last time around. This time? We have a paint color picked out. That's it. Not even up on the walls yet, just picked out. Yet I am not at all stressed/worried about it. I'm really not stressed or worried about anything this time around. That's probably typical Baby #1 vs. Baby #2, right? That might be a perk of already being a mom... I'm too busy with LG to even have the time/energy to stress!

Thanks for reading along, I'll try to post more pictures on Instagram as we get closer to baby and keep track of this growing bump. I'll be back in a few weeks with another update!

    1. I've heard that from so many moms! Apparently the more you have, the harder they get on your body. Which makes sense when you think about it! Thank you!
