What I've Been Priming

Good morning! I hope you all had a nice weekend and a safe, happy Halloween. I don't know about you but I am SO ready for a new month and a new holiday to look forward to. We have packed up and put away what very little Halloween stuff we took out and in a few short weeks will be pulling out the Christmas decorations. I can NOT wait!

As we get closer to the holiday season I am really going to try not to order everything from there. I know how convenient it is, and it can make the holidays significantly less stressful to just click, buy and have it shipped to your house in 2 days, especially if you have young kids at home. Unfortunately though, we have seen a few of our favorite brick and mortar stores closing around here lately and I can't help but wonder how much of that is due to people using Amazon instead. One of my goals this month (I'll post monthly goals on Wednesday!) is to try to do as much Christmas shopping as I can this month and in small, locally owned businesses.

Before we begin, I did two posts this month on the clothes I ordered from Amazon in October. Here they are:

And then here is everything else I ordered in the month of October:

File Box- Lily Grace started school for the first time this fall and has started coming home with some really cute artwork, some keepsakes, and some important paperwork. I wanted to keep all of it organized and needed a new file box. We had some file folders around here to keep everything in, so we're just using those until we run out for now.

TOMS- My old TOMS finally bit the dust and since they are the shoe I wear most often, I grabbed another pair. If you haven't ever tried a pair of TOMS before, I cannot recommend them enough! They are hands down the comfiest shoes I own and I love the One-for-One program they do to give back to children in need.

Rodial Mascara- This is the BEST mascara I've ever used, but since it is a British brand and doesn't have a big following here, it can be hard to find in store. This is one of those times where you realize how convenient Amazon is!

Living Proof Dry Shampoo- With a new baby in the house I am going through the dry shampoo a LOT faster than usual!

I saw a friend post this on Instagram not too long ago and it made me laugh out loud because that's pretty much been me the past 6 weeks!

I hope you all have a great week! The weather has finally cooled off significantly around here and while I'm enjoying it for now I know soon enough I'll be itching for that warm weather again. It's funny to me that when I was growing up in Ohio we didn't think twice about cold weather and snow, and now if the temperature gets below 50 I start to complain.. the past 15 years in the South have turned me into a cold weather wimp! Anyone else like this?? I'm all ready for fall when its 95+ degrees outside, but we get a couple cold days in a row and I become this person:

See you back here on Wednesday!

  2. I love the memes at the end! I think I complain about the heat all summer, but I'm not really equipped for the cold either. Thanks for linking up with Prime Purchases! Tanya - The Other Side of the Road
