Lily Grace is 6!

 Hello and happy Friday! I hope you've all had a nice week. Today our big girl is 6 years old and I wanted to share 6 of our favorite things about our little sweetheart, along with some of my favorite pics of her over this past year. 😍

1. Lily Grace has the BIGGEST heart. One of the aspects of an ADHD brain is emotional sensitivity, and where that may be a negative for some people I have only ever seen it be a positive for Lily Grace. This girl, at 6 years old, has a more empathetic heart than most adults I know. She just seems to "get it" and is always aware of others and their feelings/self-esteem. She is the kid who will intentionally lose a game so her friend can be happy about winning. Last year, at her pre-k graduation, her teachers said this as she walked across the stage: "Lily Grace has a deep love and appreciation for friendship. She's always putting the needs of others before her own, which is quite unique for a girl her age. Lily Grace has a huge heart and a wonderfully bubbly disposition." I couldn't agree more, and love that her teachers saw in her what I see too.

2. She is an amazing big sister. This girl is such a little mama and loves to be the nurturing one who takes care of others. Last week Liam was upset because he tripped and scraped his knee. Not only did she stop what she was doing and run over to him, but she put him in her lap and started singing him a song to calm him down. My mama heart could've exploded. She is a great reader and loves to read Liam bedtime stories too. I love how caring she is.

3. When she puts her mind to something, she does it. When our sweet girl decides she wants to do something, she lets nothing stand in her way. 

Whether it be to pass a (very hard) swim test, learn a tricky new dance routine, learn to ride her bike or something else, she doesn't give up until she's done it. I love her determination.

4. She is FUN! This girl brings so much positive energy to any room she walks into. She is almost always down for anything (unless she's tired, she gets that from her mama 😉). 

5. She is very creative and passionate about her hobbies (which change by the week haha). Whatever the hobby du jour is, she gives it 100%. One week it's Irish dancing, the next week it's cooking, who knows what it'll be the following week. She dives head first into her newest interest and is open to learning/trying just about anything.

6. She's hilarious! This girl has us belly-laughing all the time. Life is never boring when she's around, that's for sure!
