What’s Up Wednesday

Good morning and happy What’s Up Wednesday! August was a month packed with busyness and fun, and I am looking forward to all that September brings. Hopefully things slow down a little bit as we ease into fall! Let’s have a look at what we’ve been up to:

What We’ve Been Eating: I need your help in this area! We have been in a little bit of a rut these past few weeks of eating the same things over and over again. Nothing seems to sound good. What do you do when you are in a rut of eating, the same things over and over?

What I’m Loving: my eyelashes have started growing back in and it brings me so much joy!! I love seeing physical evidence of my healing!

What We’ve Been Up To: We are doing some work in our backyard at the moment, and are putting in a nice fire pit area. I've been pinning and Google searching some inspiration:

Here's hoping we get it finished before firepit season starts around here! Luckily, we have some time before the cooler temps hit the Carolinas.

What I’m Excited About: It's almost Halloween season and all things spooky!! For those of you who don't already know, we have a family of skeletons that we pose in our front yard daily during the month of October.

It's time for us to start brainstorming some skeleton ideas!

What I am Reading/Watching: I have been reading Yoga Pant Nation, and I’ve been loving it. I read her other two books, and liked them too. I think they are such a fun read during this back to school time of year, especially since I just signed up to be class mom again. If only our class, mom emails were as exciting as Jennifer Dixon’s. Haha!

As for watching, some friends recommended the Johnny Depp/Amber Heard show on Netflix, and it is absolutely insane. It is difficult to watch at times, but at the same time fascinating.

What I’m Listening To: The kids are super into the movie Trolls right now, so the Trolls soundtrack has been playing nonstop at our house. That and Trolls World Tour (which I actually think is cuter than the original!). Thank goodness the music is actually pretty good, so I'm not complaining about listening to it!

What I am Wearing: Last week I did a post about what I've been wearing to work. Here's a few pics from that post:

Dress/Sandals

Reddish Pants (old)/White TeeDenim Jacket

Navy Tee/ Green Skirt/Sandals

Dress/Sandals

What I’m Doing This Weekend: We are headed to Blowing Rock for the weekend and I am so excited!! I am looking forward to a nice relaxing weekend spent with family.

Favorite Amazon Purchase: Okay, so I haven't technically bought this yet, but this is in my cart for Halloween:

How cute is this skeleton candle?! I think it counts as a "need" and not a "want" 😉

Today I am linking up with Sheaffer and Shay for What's Up Wednesday. See you back here Friday!

  4. We have the same answers to what we're eating! LOL. I have given up on menu planning temporarily since I am all out of ideas and sick of eating the same old/same old. That skeleton candle is so cute and I always love seeing what you come up with for your Halloween/Skeleton decorations.
