What's Up Wednesday

Good Morning friends! This week officially marks my one year blogging anniversary and in order to celebrate I am doing a giveaway!
Nordstrom and Amazon are easily my two favorite places right now to shop so I figured what better way to celebrate my blog than to let a reader do a little shopping herself at one of my favorite places! The winner can choose which store they would like the gift card to. To enter the giveaway, click on the Rafflecopter at the bottom!

Now let's get started with What's Up Wednesday, shall we?
1. What We're Eating: Dev just got back from a week in Prague for work and this momma is SICK of cooking. So this week we are eating whatever he makes for us-- which is mostly food out on the grill. We have had a lot of grilled chicken, grilled pizza, corn on the cob, grilled pineapple, and more.
Devin has been excited to try some of the recipes from his new grilled pizza cookbook!
2. What I'm Reminiscing About: We spent last weekend with friends who were visiting from out of town and were reminiscing that a little less than two years ago (when one of our friends moved) I was pregnant with LG.
Sorry for the awful lighting here. This was my last pregnancy, around the time our friend moved. I was 34 weeks here.

Our friend kept referring to my current baby bump and saying "I feel like that's Lily in there! We're doing this all over again" and "It's so crazy to think we didn't even know she was a girl at that time and NOW we don't know about THIS baby". I couldn't have agreed with her more!! I officially started the 3rd trimester yesterday, we are in the home stretch! (For a baby bump update, click here)
And just for fun, this was the beginning of the 3rd tri last time around 😀
3. What I'm Loving: Lily Grace started her first ever day of camp yesterday and LOVED it. The camp options available for 2 year olds were very limited, so we ended up choosing Princess Ballerina Dance Camp. I was nervous she wouldn't be into it at first but apparently I had nothing to worry about! She had so much fun she didn't want to leave at the end. She goes three days this week from 9-11. It's special for me because I was a camp counselor at this same camp every summer during college. Some of my favorite summers were spent at this camp!
Here is this exhausted girl after camp.
4. What We've Been Up To: We just got back from almost 2 weeks in Colorado.
It was absolutely beautiful and I still need to do a post about our trip, complete with all of our pictures! I did a mini-post here, but I promise I'll go into more detail when I get a chance.
5. What I'm Dreading: Nothing!! Life is good, and I am VERY thankful for that 😀
6. What I'm Working On: Getting my long term sub plans organized for maternity leave. My plan is to begin the school year in August, take a week or so to train the sub, and then peace out until after Christmas! I will return in January after the break (assuming all goes according to plan-- and let's hope it does!)
7. What I'm Excited About: We leave for our Hilton Head family reunion on Sunday- woohoo! Every summer my extended family gets together at the beach for a mini family reunion and it is SO much fun. I love getting to see how much my little cousins grow each year! Two of my cousins were flower girls in my wedding and one of them is about to be a senior in high school. I mean, WHAT. Time flies! These were from last year at HHI:
8. What I'm Watching/Reading: Obviously, the Bachelorette.
I'm surprised by how much I like Hannah B. I honestly rolled my eyes BIG TIME when they announced it was her, but she is a lot smarter/stronger/more independent than I initially thought. I really like that she calls the men out on their BS (which they have a LOT of). Also, is it just me or are the other men ganging up on Luke P big time?? I mean yes, Luke P is VERY annoying and does/says a lot of stupid things... but the other men are spending way too much focus on him instead of letting him self destruct. It makes me not like many of Hannah's guys. #teamPeter #teamTyler #teamGETRIDOFGARRETT
As for what I'm reading:
I have been starting my day with this daily devotional. A few years back I read another of Joel Osteen's Daily Devotionals and loved how inspiring and positive it was. It was a WONDERFUL way to start my day. This one is all about marriage, and I love reading some positive tidbits each morning about how to "Live Your Best Life Together". So far my favorite bit of advice (and something I desperately needed to hear) has been: it is more important to have peace in your marriage then to win the argument. Hmm, yeah, I won't lie... I like to get the last word in. But I know he's right and in the grand scheme of things, that only makes it worse. I highly recommend this book!
9. What I'm Listening to: I am still listening to my favorite podcasts.
10. What I'm Wearing: I am still able to fit into a lot of my non-maternity clothes so I am rocking those while I still can. Here are a few pictures:
Dress/Denim Jacket
Same dress but in blue
Shirt/Shorts (old, but similar here)
11. What I'm Doing This Weekend: Leaving for Hilton Head!
12. What I'm Looking Forward to Next Month: After our trip to Hilton Head, I am actually very much looking forward to being at home and doing nothing. We have had a busy summer so far, so it will be nice to relax and catch up with some friends for a bit.

Thanks for reading along, especially those of you who have been reading here throughout the past year! Thanks for keeping me inspired to continue with this fun little space on the internet. Here's to another year! (Edited-- a few of you have emailed me that you are having trouble with the comment section-- go ahead and fill out that you did it anyway and I'll try to see if I can fix that!!)

  8. Wow a year of blogging! I feel like so many people start blogs and don't make it a full year! You have so much to look back on in the future. I think you should share more details of your travels ... as a reader I love to read about the details: where did you stay, where did you eat, where did you shop, etc....
