Good morning! Tomorrow we are hitting the road and headed to Disney World! If you'd like to follow along with our family on Instagram, you can follow me @lcdarrell.
It's time for the last monthly goals post of 2019. Throughout the year I like to look back at my New Year's Resolutions for the year and try to set concrete goals for each month that help towards reaching the bigger, year-long goals. From looking at my post on 2019's New Year's Resolutions, I actually didn't do too bad! I didn't get all of them accomplished, but I'm very happy with the ones I was able to check off my list (especially #5 😍).
Here's a look at what I have planned to do in the month of December:
1. Disney-- We are headed to Disney this month! It is going to be a fun trip with a BIG group of family (grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins) and we cannot wait! It's pretty safe to say it won't be hard to check #1 off my list this month 😉
2. Order cards-- Unfortunately the month of November was the month of germs in our household. We had some issues finding a time when everyone was healthy enough to take family pictures for our Christmas cards. At this point, we may end up scratching the idea of family pictures and just use a conglomerate of pictures we've taken throughout the year. We can always try again for family pictures next year.
3. Books-- My goal for 2019 was to read 39 books (I read 38 last year and wanted to see if I could read more than last year). Last month was a good month for books and I read 5, meaning I only have 2 left for the year. I probably won't do a whole lot of reading while we are in Disney World, but hopefully I can knock two books out when we get back!
4. Bake Cookies-- I LOVE to bake and Lily Grace used to "help" me bake quite a bit. I say "help" because she was so little I pretty much held her hand and did everything for her. This year she may be actually able to help and I am looking forward to it! We've been practicing using a rolling pin and cookie cutters with her play-doh so I feel pretty good about her doing it with actual cookie dough. Who knows though, she may just end up trying to eat it all!
5. Soak Up the Holidays-- I was lucky enough to get 95% of our Christmas shopping done and wrapped already (woohoo!) leaving us a lot of time for things like Christmas lights, Christmas markets, etc. Last year we went into downtown Charlotte with some friends and walked around looking at the various light displays and got to see the Bank of America "Dancing Bears" show. We also squeezed in a visit to a Christmas market with friends and got to see some of the elaborate light displays. I'm hoping we get to do all of those fun activities again this year because they were some of our most cherished memories from last holiday season.
I love your goals! December is one of my favorite months! There are just so many fun things to do, especially with little ones! Way to go getting your shopping done, now you can just relax and enjoy.
ReplyDeleteThat's the plan! Hopefully you get to enjoy all the fun too!
