Spring Break Here We Come! Getting Beach Ready

 Good morning friends and happy Friday!! The weather around here is finally getting to the point of being consistently warm and sunny and I could not be happier about it. We have had weather in the low 70's and sunshine almost all week and it has been such a breath of fresh air (pun intended 😉) to not be cooped up inside. In a little over two weeks our family is headed to Florida for spring break. I am really looking forward to letting the kids wear themselves out building sandcastles and playing in the ocean! I have been looking all over the internet for some swimsuits/coverups/sunglasses and wanted to share with you what I have found, just in case you have the beach/pool/warm weather on the brain as well!

Now I bought a couple mix and match bikinis but I will spare you the photos of me in them and just stick to the stock photos from their websites. 😁 I loved this top from Aerie:

and this wide strap scoop top. I loved the back on this one.

and then just grabbed a basic black bikini bottom to go with it. My plan is to mix and match throughout the spring and summer with other bikini bottoms/tops I already have.

I felt like the tops from Aerie were great for laying out on the beach, but I also don't have to worry about anything accidentally popping out if Liam or Lily Grace pull on my swimsuit while we are splashing around. Nobody wants that!

On Instagram a couple weeks ago this one popped up as an ad and I loved the look of it. I thought it covered up in all the right places and had a classy/elegant look to it. 

 

I know swimsuits can be expensive but I wasn't quite ready to fork over almost $100 on a swimsuit. I put it in my cart, and then kept looking for other options. 

 

Then... I was browsing Amazon a few days later and look what popped up as a recommendation:

 

I should probably be creeped out that Amazon knew what I was looking at, but to be honest I was excited to see what looked like the exact same swimsuit for less than $35! Normally that would be creepy Amazon, but this time it happened to work in your favor. 😉

I bought it and LOVE it. It was just what I thought, covered up in all the right places and had a classy look to it.

I bought a variety of cover ups to try:

I really loved this long sleeve button down one: 

It was longer in the back which was an added bonus.

 

And the hat! It has a strap so I can tighten it to prevent it from flying off in the wind.  

 

And then I grabbed a few sarong style cover ups, which are just so easy and convenient. I definitely won't keep all three, but I haven't decided which one to keep yet.

I also grabbed another set of these sunglasses, because I love to be the one playing in the ocean with the kids but unfortunately lost a couple pairs last summer when we got hit by some waves. These are super inexpensive but still polarized and have the look I love.

 

 So I feel ready and prepped for spring break and now I am counting down the days!! I can't wait to be sitting in my beach chair with a sparkling water in hand, watching the kiddos play.
