A Day in the Life of Us

Good morning and welcome to a day in the life of our family! I try to do one summertime "day in the life" post and one in the winter. This is our first "day in the life" with our newest family member (who is already 11 weeks old! How did that happen?). Let's get started 😀

(Liam is the lock screen and Lily Grace is the home screen, in case you're wondering!)
I usually set my alarm for 5:00 am just because I like to get up before the kids do and have my coffee/read some emails/news/blogs in peace before the crazy whirlwind of the day begins. On this day though, I woke up a few minutes before the alarm.

I made my cup of coffee, caught up on e-mails/texts from the night before, and started reading the news for the day.
This little one was still asleep beside me.
And this other little one was still asleep in her bed.
I checked my calendar and got mentally prepped for the day.
At around 6:00, both kiddos woke up and I fed Liam while Lily Grace read books in our bed.
After Liam's breakfast, he went back down to sleep for a couple more hours while Lily Grace played by the Christmas tree. I started making her lunch for school and had another cup of coffee (I'm an addict, it's so bad!).
Devin had to leave for work earlier than usual this morning, so Lily Grace and I had breakfast together while Devin got ready for work.
Jeans/Sweater/Sweater Vest (old, but similar vest here)
Then it was time to get dressed, brush hair/teeth, and we were off to school!
Lily Grace's pre-school is a 3 minute walk from our house, so unless the weather is exceptionally bad we try to walk. Liam goes in the carrier while Lily Grace goes in the stroller.
Then, Liam and I came back and he had his mid-morning snack. He is always one happy guy after a big bottle of milk!

One of my best friends just had another baby so Liam and I went to visit the new baby. I can't believe it but we did not take a single picture with baby Claire! The moms were too busy chatting about new mom life. Whoops!
We were leaving for Disney World the following day so once we got back from visiting baby Claire, I got started packing for the whole family.
I love packing using our packing cubes. I just pack 1-2 cubes per family member and it makes it much easier to pull out everyone's stuff once we reach our destination.
Then it was time for this little fella to have another bottle before we picked LG up at school.
We walked over to grab her, brought her back, and she immediately went down for a nap. While she napped, I finished packing what I could, did a load of laundry, put a hold on our mail for our trip, and checked in with my to-do list on my calendar.
Then, guess who was hungry again?? This little guy sure loves to eat!
The rest of the afternoon was spent getting last minute things in order for our trip and figuring out where to order dinner from because we were out of food. We settled on pizza and then I put away laundry before this happy camper woke up:
Dev called and picked up the pizza on his way home. We ate, Liam took a bath (right now the kiddos are alternating bath nights), and then I got dressed and ready for yoga...
and then the little yogi of the house decided to practice some yoga of her own 😂. Here she is doing Downward Facing Dog
I think she nailed it, don't you? 😉
I drove over to my favorite yoga studio and was admiring the big tree out in front.

The rest of the night was a little yoga, a shower, and off to bed since the following day we left for Disney!

Thanks so much for reading along with us today! I hope you have a great day 😀

  1. That sounds like a wonderful day in the life; how wonderful to have such a routine already with an 11 month old! He is just too cute for words by the way. Hope you have a wonderful time in Disney.
