What I've Been Priming

Good morning friends! I hope you all had a great weekend! We had the most beautiful weather here this weekend and spent as much time outside as possible. While I'm enjoying the beautiful sunny skies and the 60 degree weather, I can't help but hold out hope for a little snow. We usually get one good snow each winter and have yet to get ours. I keep checking that weather forecast though! Here's hoping we get some this month 🙏

It's time for my monthly Prime post! This month I mostly ordered stuff I would need for various school projects. Those items are all super random so I won't link those, but I have to say how incredibly grateful I am for Amazon Prime with my new work position. As the STEM teacher at my school I plan a lot of engineering lessons that use some obscure materials. I am grateful that I don't have to schlep all over town to find these random supplies and can just type it into my search box and have it shipped directly to school. It's so convenient!

The items I bought this month that weren't for school were:
Jake the Pirate Book- Lily Grace is still really into pirates, especially Jake and the Neverland Pirates. She loves to read and we read probably about 8-10 books a day. We have read all the Jake and the Neverland Pirates books that our library has so I figured I'd pick up one on Amazon. She LOVES a good lift the flap book and this one did not disappoint!
Babywise- I have 3 really close girlfriends who are all due with their first babies this year. They were asking which books I read that I would recommend to a first time mom and I said Babywise. This book really helped us establish a routine for both Lily Grace AND Liam and I swear it helped both of them to be such great sleepers. I bought 3 copies of this book and sent one to each of my girlfriends.
My favorite sweater-- I already have this in brown and mustard yellow, and I LOVE the length. This sweater is so flattering and enables me to wear short sleeved or sleeveless shirts to work if I have this on over them. I grabbed it in navy blue this time around.
Batteries- We needed some new batteries for Liam's various baby items. His mobile uses batteries, his swing uses batteries, and he has a couple other toys that use them too. I was pricing them at various stores and then Devin told me how much cheaper they were on Amazon, I had no idea!

Those were my purchases for the month.. Can't wait to link up tomorrow with Tanya and see what everybody else purchased!

  2. I always get batteries at Costco, but will have to check out the Amazon Basics brand. I love the cardigan sweater, and my daughter would too. I know what you mean about finding project items on Amazon We had to do a physics project with all kinds of electronic equipment. It was so easy to get it on Amazon. Thanks for linking up with Hello Monday! (and Prime Purchases) Tanya - The Other Side of the Road

  3. Me too - on the Costco batteries. Thanks for sharing these. We use rechargeable quite a bit but still need plenty more it seems. I put that cardigan in my cart and Babywise brings back some serious memories!! I used that for my now 18 year old (as of today), my 16 year old and my 10 year old twins. It helped so much. Have a wonderful day and it's nice to "meet" you. ;)

  6. I just bought a bunch of batteries on Amazon this week; I swear we go through so many AA that I just never seem to have any in the house.

  7. I've heard all the good things about Babywise but I never read it.

I also discovered Costco was the best place to buy batteries, price-wise. But the convenience of Amazon over a Costco trip is appealing :)
