Monthly Goals: May

Nothing like finally getting around to blogging some goals for the month on the 14th, right?? Better late than never đŸ˜‰ I actually wrote these goals at the end of April and am noticing I have some work to do if I actually want to achieve any of these by the end of the month... so maybe a mid-month check in on goals is a good thing!

1. One Extra Act of Kindness a Week- A month or so ago I was having a rough day and one of my best friends dropped a coffee off on my porch just to let me know she was thinking about me. It. made. my. day! I realized that if something so small could make such a big impact on my day, what small things could I do for others to positively impact their days? I have been making more of an effort this month to go out of my way to do something nice for people who aren't in my immediate family (because I already do enough for them as it is đŸ˜œ).

2. Get All Summer Camps Squared Away-- This one is proving to be more difficult than I anticipated. Remember how I told you LG was going to be going to gymnastics camp this summer? Well I realized they never charged our credit card, so I called to confirm everything was all good to go. They said we were actually waitlisted for camp... waitlisted! For 4 year old summer camp! I was surprised and also a little peeved... shouldn't they have sent an email letting me know that? What if I hadn't caught on that our card hadn't been charged? I would've just showed up on day 1 ready to go. So now I am looking into some alternative options. Our girl is such a social butterfly and that interaction with friends her age is really important to her. We do play dates often, but sometimes it's nice to be able to drop the kids off somewhere and grocery shop in peace.

3.  Use the Paddle Board at Least Twice-- Halfway there! I have used it once so far and have plans to use it again this weekend. I am really happy we ended up buying it. I feel like it is also an investment towards my physical health (it's quite a workout!) and my mental health (it brings me so much joy!).

4. Read 3 Books-- Yikes. I just finished my first one and have some catching up to do in order to finish this. The first book was kinda boring and I struggled to get through it. I'm hoping my other books will be more engaging and therefore easier reads.

5. Go Through Kids Winter Clothes and Either Donate Them or Take Them to the Consignment Store-- Yikes again! Looks like I have a project for the next week or two because I have not even attempted this yet.

Do you make goals for yourself each month? If so, what is one of your goals for the month??

Today I am linking up with Andrea and Erika for Friday Favorites. Have a great weekend!

  1. I hope you get camp all straightened out! I can't believe they didn't let you know. That's crazy. I love your acts of kindness goal-- it's such a great idea.

  2. I love the small acts of kindness goal! The little acts mean so much! I have a to do list too---clean my closet, purge the kids' clothes, etc. I dread doing these things, but will try to tackle some major task once a week this summer...otherwise, I feel overwhelmed.
