Summer Bucket List-- Kids Version

Good morning friends and happy Friday!!! We had a GREAT first week of summer. We splashed in our pool, had a couple play dates with friends, and spent a LOT of time outside. Devin even got to have a few "work from home" afternoons this week. Life was pretty darn good around here. I hope it was a good week on your end too 😊

A couple weeks ago we were all outside drawing with chalk on my in-laws driveway and we decided it was a good time to make our summer bucket list. Lily Grace was already drawing pictures of herself at gymnastics camp, so it just kind of flowed into "what else should we do this summer?". As we were making our list, Devin and I looked at each other and said "we need a mom & dad summer bucket list!" So today I am sharing the kids version, and then in a few weeks I'll share the parent version.

I have a few pictures of Lily Grace's various drawings, and then made a written list so we could check the things off as we do them. Don't worry, I'm here to interpret the preschool chalk art. While I may think her art is wonderful, I'm sure the average person would be like "what is that?!" 😊

This is gymnastics camp. Lily Grace said "see how I'm upside down from the bar?"

"I want to go in the pool"

"I want to go to the creek" (on one of the trails we hike a lot)

"Now Daddy draw me at gymnastics camp"

"Princess Ballerina camp. See my crown?"

"the Enchanted Forest" (the woods/trails we hike through a lot)

Now Liam obviously wasn't drawing what he wants to do, but we have a pretty good idea of the things Liam will like. LG didn't draw pictures of everything we talked about, but I made sure to add them to the list on my phone. Here is the kids summer bucket list:

- Have some outdoor picnics

- Go to the beach

- Swim in the pool a lot

- Gymnastics Camp

- Hiking our favorite trails (and playing at the creek)

- Princess Ballerina Camp

- Go to the airport and watch the planes take off/land

- Make our own popsicles

- Go to the ice cream shop (there is a small gelato shop near Devin's work we love!)

- Go to the Whitewater Center and watch the zip liners

Looks like a pretty easy list to check off! I'm sure we will do several of these things more than once.

Today I am linking up with Andrea and Erika. Have a great weekend!!

For this summer we're going to the new waterpark my town made. And of course the beach and skatepark!
