Organizing Our Cleaning Supplies Closet

Hi There! I hope you're having a great start to your day. I finally got around to crossing a major thing off my to-do list that has been on there FOREVER... organizing our cleaning supplies closet. This was one of those projects that for some reason felt so daunting and I thought would take forever, but in actuality took less than an hour... prompting me to think "I SHOULD HAVE JUST GOTTEN THIS OVER MONTHS AGO!" Does that ever happen to you? Or just procrastinators like me? ;)

Anyway, here are some pictures of our closet now that it looks a million times better (with links to the baskets I used). Have a great day!

I tried to get a glimpse of the whole closet so you could get a better idea of what it looks like. Prior to organizing it, things had been sectioned off but kind of stacked on top of each other all willy-nilly. I wanted to be able to open the closet door without being afraid something might tumble down on top of me! Here is the other side of the closet:
Starting at the bottom, I needed the items at the bottom to be completely kid safe just in case Lily Grace ever found her way into this closet without me seeing. I figured the two safest things she could get in here were the paper towels and the toilet paper :) The paper towels were easy to stack so I put those on the left and put a giant basket on the right to hold all of our TP rolls.

Above that I put our old rags that we use for cleaning on the left inside a basket, and our "personal care" items (toothpaste, shampoo, soap, etc.) in a basket on the right. This shelf is not within reach for Lily Grace so I'm not too worried about her getting into the soaps and shampoos (not at her current height at least!).

Then above those I have the cleaning supplies that needed to go higher up.. you know, the stuff with chemicals in it (Windex, Febreze, etc.). I am trying to use all of these up and switch to more eco-friendly brands but in the meantime I have a lot left to use!

On the right side we have some extra towels that didn't fit in our regular linen closet (where we keep our nice bath towels, hand towels, sheets, etc.). I love that I can easily see what is in the wire basket without having to pull it out to check.

And then at the top of the closet is where I store all of my candles. There are candles behind these and this is only about half... I have a lot of candles!

It feels SO GOOD to finally have this checked off my list. Now on to the next thing...

Thanks for stopping by!
