Air Fryer Southwest Sweet Potato Fries

Hi there friends! So for the past few months I have been experimenting with our air fryer and have been trying to get comfortable with it. At first I only followed other people's recipes, but have recently started trying out a few of my own. Devin gets partial credit for today's recipe because I was all set to make them in the oven, then Devin said "why don't you try the air fryer? I bet that would be good". It turns out he was right! Not only are they delicious, but they cooked much faster too!

** Just a tip, when I make these for our whole family I add everything except the cayenne pepper for the kids. I make them their own smaller batch, then add cayenne to mine and Devin's batch**

Here's What You'll Need:

- 2 large sweet potatoes, cut into matchsticks about the size of a French fry

- 2 tbsp olive oil

- 1 tbsp garlic powder

- 2 tsp paprika

- 1 tsp cumin

- 1 tsp salt

- 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper

1. In a large mixing bowl, add sweet potato fries and olive oil. In a small bowl, add all seasonings and mix together. Sprinkle 1 tbsp seasoning mix over sweet potatoes, mix with hands to make sure the seasoning is evenly coating the fries. Add another tbsp seasoning mix, do the same thing. Continue until you feel your fries are seasoned enough (some people like more than others). If you have extra seasoning, put it in a mini Tupperware and save it for your next taco night-- it's great on taco meat!

2. Add fries to your air fryer basket. Make sure you don't have it too full-- you may need to do two batches. Cook for 7 minutes on 400 degrees. When the air fryer beeps, shake the fries around in the basket and pop them back in for another 7 minutes.

That's it! Enjoy! These make for a flavorful side item with a kick
