Santa Pics

Hi there! I hope you all had a nice weekend and were able to soak up a little more of the fun this season has to offer. On Saturday our kids met Santa, and it was without a doubt my favorite Santa meeting we've had!

So this year is obviously very different from years past and in Charlotte, the only options to meet Santa were behind a glass partition, or Santa was inside a snow globe and the kids could wave to him, or something similar. I have several friends whose babies are celebrating their first Christmas this year and they were bummed about not being able to get pictures of their kiddos sitting on Santa's lap. I was bummed too, and we've been fortunate enough to get those pictures for the past 3 years! So one of our friends, an absolute angel, offered to dress up as Santa and meet us outside somewhere so the kids could sit on Santa's lap. It was absolutely perfect, and now we want to do Santa like this every year from now on!

Our group of friends is being extra cautious right now since we will all be going to visit our parents for Christmas. All of our parents are within the older age bracket, and many of them have some underlying health conditions that may make COVID more scary for them. To make sure we were being safe, we kept the group small, held it outside, and had all the adults wear masks. We had a "play date" for all the kids at a private playground (not open to the public-- which helped keep strangers from coming up to Santa). Then all of a sudden the kids could hear a bell ringing, but couldn't see where it was coming from. They were looking around for who was ringing the bell and walking up the hill to the playground, ringing the bell, was Santa! It gave me chills because the kids were so excited and happy!

We had hot chocolate and donuts for everyone, and then Santa brought each kid a candy cane.

It was the sweetest thing! The adults all kept saying over and over how wonderful it was that everyone got some good time with Santa. It wasn't like at the mall where you sit on his lap for 1 minute, smile for a picture and then get rushed away so the next family can go. So now the pressure is on for our friend to do this again next year too. Luckily I think he had just as much fun as the kids did-- he was in his element!

I wish I had more pictures but honestly we were having too much fun being present in the moment. Which is a great reason to only have a few pictures. 😊 See you back here on Wednesday, have a great week!!

  7. Even though the sport is only based mostly on 1xbet probability, there are nonetheless variations between the variants. Some offer you a decrease house edge than others, which is essential to know if you ever need to play for real cash. As you might anticipate, we now have nice deal of} free roulette video games that you simply can} play. The most prairie of the prairie provinces did things slightly a special way|in another way}.
