Getting Organized for the New Year

Good morning friends! So earlier this week I had a couple appointments I needed to put on my 2021 calendar when it hit me-- oh shoot, I don't have a 2021 calendar yet! I usually buy the 18 month Happy Planners each August, but it must've slipped my mind this past August because I never got around to it. The downside of waiting until mid-December is that all the good planners were already sold out 😨. If you've been reading here for awhile then you know I am a big fan of the Happy Planners-- they are hands down my favorite for several reasons. I love the layout. I love how bright and colorful they are. I love all the stickers/accessories they come with.

They. Are. My. Favorites.

But now, in December, all the ones that were my favorite layout have already been sold out. There were a few left, but the covers were not my style.

Classic case of the early bird getting the worm. This worm was late, and this worm is outta luck.

So I started asking around to a bunch of my girlfriends to find out what planners they use. The answers I got most often were: Erin Condren, Lilly Pulitzer, big desk calendars, and ones from Target. I have used all of those in the past too and liked them, but didn't love them.

Then one girlfriend recommended this one to me from Amazon and I figured it was so cheap it was worth a try. It had over 1,000 reviews with a really high rating, so... I needed a calendar, it was cheap, why not give it a shot?

The monthly layout is pretty standard, and then this is a sample week:

Each week has a fun little thought for the week, which I like. The above question is "if you had an extra hour each day, how would you use it?" I would most definitely use it to read! Preferably while my children are napping and I have a warm cup of coffee in hand. This was the thought for a different week:

I think I will really like the little weekly thoughts!

I like that each month has a section for monthly goals. You all already know how much I love monthly goals-- the Happy Planners have a section for goals already built in and I'm happy this one does too!
This planner has stickers too, although they are nowhere near as cute as the Happy Planner ones. But I figure I can always grab a pack of the Happy Planner stickers if I want. My favorites are the seasonal stickers.

So, just in case you hadn't realized how obsessed I am with my Happy Planner prior to this post... now you know 😂 And now you also know the importance of buying something you really like before it's sold out! That being said, I think this new planner will work out just fine.

Now I want to know: what planner do you use? Do you love it? Dislike it? Why? Any other Happy Planner addicts out there?

Today I am linking up with Andrea and Erika for Friday Favorites. Have a great weekend!!!

  1. I love this!! I’ve been using the Lilly Pulitzer planner, but I am switching over to a Plum Paper planner!! I’ve always loved my Lilly Pulitzer planner, but I just wanted something a little more personalized!! However, I have tried the Happy Planner and I really liked it! Have a great day!!

  2. I love this planner!! I still haven’t gotten a calendar or a planner for 2021 yet, so his might be one of the ones I get!

  3. I love my Happy Planner. I think you can buy filler calendar pages to get you through a few months if you find you need to go back to it. And they should be coming out with their next line soon

  4. I love the Happy Planner too. Last year I couldn't find the layout I wanted and ended up personalizing a Plum Planner but haven't used it as much as I would have liked.
