Our Weekend at the Beach

Hi friends! It is late Sunday afternoon as I am writing this and we just got back from the beach... meaning today's post is going to be short and sweet-- I have laundry and grocery shopping to do!! This past weekend we went to Wilmington, NC to visit Devin's parents and his grandmother. It was the most wonderful weekend spent outdoors and with family. We went kayaking, paddle boarding, swimming in the pool, and did a lot of playing on the beach.
This is from my run at sunrise on our first morning there... sunrise on the beach will NEVER get old to me! It is one of my favorite things of all time. Are you more of a sunrise person or a sunset person?
Another sunrise from Saturday morning's run 😍
Another view from the run
A lot of swimming in the pool
Or flying above the pool.. she was LOVING this! And don't be worried, the angle makes her look a lot higher than she actually was 😉
And a lot of paddle boarding..
and kayaking on the Intracoastal.

It was the most wonderful weekend, I wouldn't have changed a thing!

I hope you all had a nice weekend too! See you back here on Wednesday!

  2. I love walking on the beach in the early morning but I enjoy sunrise and sunset equally.

  3. The beach is so good for the soul!! Are there alligators in those waters where you were paddling?

    1. I'm not sure about alligators but sharks are a definite possibility if you go where it's deep enough. We avoid that area though, mostly because that's where the boats are and it's too difficult to paddle in the wake of the boats. My in laws recently had an alligator that lived in the lake behind their house but they haven't seen it in weeks thank God!

  4. The range of colours found in the sand and the sea are astounding and they can create vivid and beautiful Commercial painting to inspire you.
