Super Simple Braised Broccoli

Hi there! Earlier this week I was whipping up dinner for the fam and we needed a quick side item. I went to make our all time favorite broccoli recipe and it dawned on me that I've never shared it with you guys-- which is weird because we eat this probably twice a week! More than likely I've never shared this because it hardly seems like a "recipe". It's too easy. But that being said, this is my kids' favorite way to eat broccoli, and if it means helping one of your kids eat a vegetable too then I am happy to share our super simple "recipe".

Here's What You'll Need:

- 4 cups fresh broccoli florets

- 2 tbsp butter

- salt and pepper, to taste

1. Add broccoli and 1/2 cup water to a medium pot with a lid. Heat to a rolling boil, then cut back heat to simmer and allow broccoli to steam for 5-6 minutes. The broccoli should still be pretty firm. Drain the broccoli.

2. Return the broccoli to the pot and add butter over low heat. Allow the butter to melt, and stir broccoli to coat it with the butter. Add salt and pepper. Cook for another 4-5 minutes, or until the broccoli is tender.

3. Serve and enjoy!

See what I mean? It's so easy it hardly qualifies as a recipe. That being said, it's always such a big hit around here. Sometimes the simpler a recipe is, the better!

See you back here tomorrow!

  1. Sounds delish! We typically eat our broccoli in the air fryer and it's a FAV at our house. I need to try this - who doesn't love buttery vegetables ;)

    1. Not every veggie is a hit around here, but when I find one they both like I make it on repeat!
