5 Things

Good morning friends and happy Monday! We are leaving for the beach later this week and I can't wait. This is one of those situations where every day leading up to it is going to feel like an eternity. Not only that but Devin has a work trip out of town this week AND tomorrow is my birthday-- woohoo! This week is going to be nutty-- but in a good way!

Today I am just sharing a few fun and random things we've been up to.

1. Gymnastics camp was a BIG hit! Lily Grace had a blast at her camp last week and couldn't stop talking about it. She got to go on the balance beam, the trampoline, and jump into the foam pit. She got to play with her new friends, do lots of arts & crafts and have a snack. It sounded like so much fun I told Devin I want to go to camp-- hah!

2. Liam is in that sweet spot of being more independent, but finally understanding what he can/can't do on his own. Now that he seems to "get it", we are having fewer frustration-based tantrums and he is able to play by himself quietly for a solid 20-30 minutes. This is a game changer when I'm trying to prep lunch/dinner!!! He finally loves to sit down and read books too, which has been great. Up until about a month ago he could only make it through 1-2 pages of a book. But now we finish them and can read more than 1-- yay!!

3. Fun Charcuterie Boards-- After making our hot dog board for Memorial Day Weekend I've been wanting to make even more outside the box charcuterie boards. This morning I made a breakfast one and it was a hit!

And I'm planning to make one at the beach too! Everyone can just grab what they want off of it, it'll be super easy.

4. We took the paddle board out again over the weekend and had a blast! Lily Grace rode along with me while Devin and Liam splashed and played on the shoreline. Then Devin took a turn on the board too. I love these mornings where we get to spend time together outside in nature. They make for fun filled mornings and some great afternoon naps. 😉

5. Devin and I have started planning our first big post-COVID vacation. It feels so good to finally be able to plan a trip without a question mark for a timeline. Whenever we have a big trip we like to plan roughly a year in advance, so we are looking at summer 2022. Our current itinerary is Prague→ViennaBudapest→Croatia→Italy, but nothing is solidified yet. So if anyone needs me lately, there's a 90% chance I'll be glued to Pinterest/my favorite travel blogs.

I hope you all have a great Monday!

    1. Reading travel blogs is one of my favorite things! I love planning trips almost as much as the trips themselves.
