A 4th of July Charcuterie/Smorgasbord

Hello there my friends! I hope that you all had a nice weekend. Dev was out of town so the kids and I held down the fort. In the interest of keeping it "fun" with Dev being gone (and also me getting a break!), we had a 4th of July themed charcuterie board for dinner one night, while picnic-ing on the rug in front of the TV. This isn't something we normally do, so the kids were all about it! Here's a look at our board before it got demolished:

As you can see, I used:
- strawberries
- raspberries
- blackberries
- red/white/blue yogurt covered pretzels
- popcorn
- prosciutto/cheese rollups
- cherry tomatoes, mozzarella pearls, and blueberries on toothpicks
- club crackers
- turkey pepperoni
- brie wedges
- blue corn tortilla chips and salsa

It was super quick and easy to throw together, maybe 15 minutes total? At the most?

A super random assortment, and not our typical dinner, but that's what made it fun. 😊 And mama got to chill for a minute while the kids snacked away. I was definitely happy about that!

Today I am linking up with Sarah and Holly for Hello Monday. See you all back here Wednesday!

  1. That does sound fun! We've had "carpet picnics" a few times in hotel rooms when our kids were small and we were tired after traveling/ exploring and they were always huge hits.

  2. I love doing this type of things as a meal. I could do a red and white one for Canada Day, we will be camping, so we will be eating all of the snacks.

  3. I am a sucker for a charcuterie board and especially a patriotic one- insert heart-eyed emoji here- thanks for the inspiration for this upcoming weekend!
