Monthly Goals- October

Can you believe another month is over?? I swear it feels like September just started! But I am READY for October and those cooler temperatures... bring it on!!

I thought I'd start this post with a re-cap of last month's goals before we look at next month. Here were my goals for the month of September:

They were:

- Put x amount of money into our savings account-- Thank goodness we actually NAILED this one! We were able to save more than we planned to... how often does that happen?? (Around here.. not very often! #mamalikestoshop)
- Start BAM Program on the Sweat App-- Started this program and LOVE it. Yoga is one of my all time favorite forms of exercise and it has been the perfect thing to do after our long runs from half marathon training.
- Read 4 books (including audiobooks)-- I did read 4, but I didn't completely finish one cover-to-cover. It was a non-fiction book and I skipped a few chapters that weren't relevant to what I needed. Good enough, right?
- Have my lessons planned for the entire month by September 5th-- Ummm... heck no. Not even close. Apparently that was too lofty of a goal for me this month!

Coming up for October my goals are:

-- Put x amount in our savings. This goal is pretty standard month to month, I just change the amount based on what we have coming up each month.
-- Keep up with half marathon training. Run at least 3 times per week and continue to do strength training exercises 2x per week.
-- Read 4 books. This is the month of our big trip to Amsterdam and hopefully I will have plenty of time to get caught up on some reading. I will download several books onto my Kindle and be good to go for the flight!
-- Practice my Italian for at least 15 minutes a day. When Devin and I went to Italy years ago I spent a good amount of time learning to speak Italian but since I haven't been using it, I feel like I'm losing it. We had Rosetta Stone and the DuoLingo app and I actually got to a point where we would order at restaurants and speak to people in shops fully in Italian (God bless those poor people who we tested our Italian out on... I'm sure we were talking soooo slooooowwww).

So those are my goals for the month! What about you? Anyone else make monthly goals? To see last month's post about goals, click below.
