Ladies, I will be honest with you... I am on the struggle bus this week! Anyone else feel a little in over their head right about now? We are hosting family from out of town, I started back at work last week, and we have about a million other things on our plate right now. I'm having one of those weeks where I'm trying to do 100 things simultaneously and I don't feel like I'm doing any of them well because I'm spreading myself too thin. I know we all have these moments and "this too shall pass", but good Lord... I'm ready for life to slow back down! Thanks for sticking with me through the craziness.
Which brings me to my next point...
Nothing like posting my monthly goals halfway through the month, right?? Hah! Oh well. Last week I posted my goals for the year and one way I try to make sure I reach those goals is to set intentions for each month that work towards the bigger goal. For example, if my yearlong goal is to read 40 books, then my monthly goal might be to read 4 books this month. Let's get to it!

My goals for the YEAR were:
1. Run 2 half marathons
2. Read 40 books
3. Learn French
4. Blog 4 days a week.
My goals for the MONTH are:
1. Keep up with exercising, including running 3x per week. I posted my 10k training program a few weeks back as I begin to prep for a race my girlfriends and I are running in April.
2. Read 3 Books. So far I've read 1.5, so I'm on track! If I'm being honest though, I took a break from reading at night to do some puzzles/watch TV with Dev and really enjoyed that time together. So I might not make my goal this month and I am perfectly okay with that. I'd rather have fun with my husband 😀
3. Practice French for 15 Minutes Daily. I have the app Duolingo downloaded on my phone and have been using it daily. Apparently some of you are familiar with this app too! (Hi Dara!) Do you guys use it? What languages are you using?
4. Add 1 Extra Blog Post Per Week. So far so good! I had been hoping to add more healthy recipes to the blog and was also wanting to add one more day per week of blog posts. So I am killing two birds with one stone and adding one healthy recipe per week!

And what SHOULD be a goal this month: Say NO to anything else that gets thrown my way! At least temporarily.
I hope you all are having a great week and THANK YOU for reading along. See you back here Friday!
My two sons are using Duolingo; one is learning French (and I love listening to it as it brings back so many memories of my French classes in high school. I actually remember more than I thought!) and my oldest I learning German using it.
