Monthly Goals-- September

Good morning friends and happy September!!! Does it feel like fall where you live? I must've jinxed us.. it felt fall-ish for a week or two here but then we jumped back up to 90+ degrees every day. This weekend looks like low to mid 80's again though-- and believe it or not, I'll consider that "fall-ish weather"!

Today I have my goals for the month of September to share. Thank you so much for reading/commenting on these posts because you help to keep me accountable! If somebody out there knows I've set a goal for myself, it makes me feel like I need to  actually keep up with it. Here are my goals for the month:

1. DO NOT BUY DIET COKE- This is my #1 weakness! I love me a Diet Coke/Coke Zero and I cannot seem to muster the self restraint in order quit it. I know how bad they are, but I just can't seem to give it up! I have a handful left in my fridge now and my plan is that once those are gone, do not buy any more in the month of September. I'm hoping I can convince myself to have them once in awhile rather than my daily afternoon Diet Coke.

2. Purge House of Unwanted Items-- We are getting ready to move out of our home in a couple weeks and have a large portion of it gutted and renovated. In the meantime I am trying to get rid of stuff we don't want to move out/move back in. Scarves I haven't worn in years? Why not donate them to someone else who may like them. Kitchen items we've never ever used? If we've lived 7 years without using it, odds are we don't need to keep it around. My plan is to go around our house and find 5 items a day to get rid of until we move out. I imagine this will be very easy despite the huge decluttering purge I did earlier this year. If we have anything worth selling on Facebook Marketplace, I'll try that. Otherwise I will just donate the rest!

3. Move Out Without Stressing Out-- Hopefully I can accomplish this one! My plan is to try to take this a little bit at a time and not get overwhelmed. I'll make my to-do lists and check them off one at a time.

4. Read 4 Books-- I have a lot on my plate this month, but I also know that listening to a good audiobook can help keep me distracted and therefore keep me from the downward spiral of stress. I'm already halfway through one!

What are your goals for the month of September? Tell me in the comments below!

  1. Ah, I'm the same with diet coke. I have mixed feelings about it, because I know it's not the greatest but it's also a pick me up which feels important too.

    1. Exactly! That's why I'm not going 100% cold turkey, I still have a few in the fridge. I'm just going to try to save them for once in awhile vs. everyday! There's just something about a Diet Coke when you want/need one.

  2. Love those goals! I am with you on the diet soda train... I love diet dr p and if I buy it, I drink it. So I try not to buy it and only get it once in a while as a treat!

  3. Best of luck! I found that I too could not have foods/drinks that I LOVED around the house at all or I just can't restrain myself.
