That's a Wrap 2018...

Today is the last day of 2018, and it has been QUITE a year!
This was the year that we:

Watched our baby girl grow into a "big girl" (at least she's a big girl according to her!). It has been SUCH a joy to see our sweet girl's personality come shining through. I'm sure everyone thinks this about their child, but this girl is HILARIOUS. She has us laughing all day long, and the funny thing is that she knows it. She loves doing or saying something that will make mommy and daddy laugh. To say we are absolutely smitten is an understatement. I am so grateful to get to spend my days with her and I know with 100% certainty that these are going to continue to be the best days of my life.

Traveled to 3 foreign countries! This year we were fortunate enough to travel to Turks and Caicos, the Netherlands, and Indonesia (technically China and England too if you count layovers). We love exploring new places, especially other countries that have different customs/culture than we do. We plan to travel more domestically in 2019, with a few trips already booked! Can't wait!

Started a blog. 2018 was the year I finally went from being the casual reader of other blogs to finally gathering the courage to start my own. It feels silly to say that starting a blog can be scary, because really its putting yourself out there that's scary. Let me tell you, I am constantly wondering "What was I thinking?" "What makes you think people other than your family will actually read this?" "Who do you think you are writing about this stuff? Some kind of expert?" But I am trying to remind myself daily that I'm doing this for fun. Even if only a handful of people read it and it is just a creative outlet for me, that's all it ever needs to be. I've had a blast doing this so far, and I plan to continue doing it for as long as I enjoy it. I have a feeling the blog is here to stay for awhile. 😊

Grew professionally. This was a big year of professional growth for both Devin and I. He got his big promotion to International Sales Manager and I have made significant growth in my new field at work (in other words I went from wondering "What in the heck am I going to do next?" to "How am I going to fit all this great stuff in?") I know we will only continue to go up from here and I can't wait to see what 2019 has in store for us.

This year has not been all sunshine and rainbows for us. We have lost a much loved family member this year and have had a very close friend lose a sibling. We have had days filled with stress and wondering what the future will bring. But I know that each day is a gift from God and am grateful for each and every one. I hope that every single one of you is able to look back on your year and find the positive things God has brought your way.

We have no idea where 2019 is going to take us, but we are grateful for our very blessed 2018 and are eager to see what God has in store for us next.

HAPPY NEW YEAR FRIENDS!!
