Friday Favorites

Hi there! I don't know about you, but things really hit me hard this week. I've started running out of things to do in order to stay busy and the reality that I most likely won't be going back to school sunk in. I have found a few things that have helped to keep my spirits up and thought I'd share with you just in case you needed a mood booster too!

My #1 FAVORITE thing this week has been my yoga studio's online classes. You can "rent" a class for $4.99 for 3 days (normally each class is $20!) and do them whenever is convenient for you. This has been a game changer for me! Other yoga classes I have found online or on various apps are never as challenging as my studio's classes and I want something that is really going to get my heart rate up. I was sweating buckets while doing these this week! If you're looking for a great mind/body workout that will really get you to sweat, I highly recommend this!!

Another thing keeping me sane is listening to podcasts while out for walks. I am listening to anything and everything that ISN'T the news right now, because I am struggling with all the doom and gloom. I have been loving "Watch What Crappens" which pokes. fun at all your favorite Bravo shows, "The Almost Famous Podcast" with Ben and Ashley I from the Bachelor, and "Even the Rich" which is about famous families and the scandals they've been a part of.

And then last but definitely not least, phone calls and Zooms galore! I notice an immediate boost in my mood when I chit chat on the phone with someone I love, even if just for 5 minutes.

I know none of these ideas are new or revolutionary, but I thought it might help to know that someone else out there is on the struggle bus and what I've been doing to try to make it better. We're all in this together and it'll be much more bearable if we help each other out!

Today I'm linking up with Andrea and Erika for Friday Favorites. Have a good weekend!

    1. It's a win/win because we are probably helping them too!!

  3. I also find myself calling people via video for work things rather than emailing them. It helps to get a little connection and helps me take care of whatever I needed for work. If you haven't listened to the Everything Iconic podcast with Danny Pellegrino, you totally should. He discusses Bravo shows and I laugh every single show.

  4. I have also found that working out helps my mood a lot. It somehow makes me feel that everything will be okay. I don't do a lot of Zoom but we do weekly FaceTime chats with family and it helps with not being able to see them. I also like to think of what are things I am grateful for during the days I struggle a little bit more and I find that it helps my perspective readjust. Anyway, hang in there and on a positive note, it's Friday! So yay! Wishing you a fabulous weekend ahead.

  5. I never thought to listen to a podcast while I am out for my walks... but that's such a brilliant idea!
